@aurulentā liked for a starter!
A sizable audience has gathered to surround a group of street performers. Fandaniel is but one of several in that crowd, and without any powers to speak of, he is no different than any of them. Infact, he is easily lesser than most of them! Truly tragic. But at least there is never a dull moment in this prison called Spirale City, so long as one knows where to look. One of the few benefits to being tossed into a melting pot of prisoners from other worlds, The Ascian thinks bitterly. One of very, very few. Ā Alas, his mind cannot help but fixate on how his life's work has come to a screeching halt. And despite his aims to be anything but, he is very much alive when he should have been dead. It makes him sick. Sick sick sick.
Betraying his hateful thoughts, however, Fandaniel claps, cheers, and tosses out a few boisterous ābravosā as two undeniably talented sword dancers end their show by swallowing the flaming blades they brandished. Ā After they bow out, a ridiculous display (and that is being kind) covered from head to toe in horns and percussion enters the spotlight in their stead, introducing himself as The One-Man-Band to Rule Them All. As if on que, most of the crowd dissipates as the embarrassing performance begins.
This completely absurd atmosphere, Fandaniel deems, is the perfect juxtaposition to a grim discussion. Thus he turns abruptly to the man to his left. A dashing figure who Fandaniel bothers to note probably has a few more gears turning behind that charming, bright expression than he chooses to present to the world. He seems perfect.Ā As horns honk away and cymbals crash in a manner so unfunny that it almost becomes so, The Ascian cheerfully imposes his question upon the stranger.Ā
āI say, good sir! Care to indulge me in a little frivolous discussion? I would like to ask you what the point of living isāif there even is one. And by all means, be as colorful as youād like with your response if you so choose to answer.āĀ Ā
