The words almost completely escaped her lips when she realized that this was certainly a scene in front of her. But the way the one in the middle spoke reminded her somewhat of the time they were all filming for the DisCars.

...Which meant she needed to do what she was best at.

He drops to his knees (painful, but it just helps to produce more tears) and looks up pleadingly at the thugs who are all but scratching their heads in confusion, looking back and forth, from Papa to Sweetie.

“Please, if I can beg of you anything, ANYTHING at all ere you break the contents of my skull all over these alley walls and disfigure my body beyond recognition, please spare my darling little girl this gruesome scene! Better yet, give her answers as to why her papa is about to be brutalized. I just can’t-I can’t…” He sputters. “--I can’t bare to tell her!”

One of the more 'intelligent' looking of the thugs, presumably their leader, makes eye contact with the little actress. The guilt is visible. The Head Thug opens his mouth stupidly and gets out “I-uh-shit. I mean-you know your papa’s a crazy bastard, right?!”

"Ohhh your Voidsent has been returned to you, has it? Why, this is excellent news! Lord Zenos would be so happy to hear that were he present and aware that you've been stripped of your powers! Tis a pity we can't die here, or I'd offer you test it out on me. Alas..."

Back on my BS

Don't try to push my buttons.

"I found coverage just fine thank you." And he looks at Fandaniel. Look at him standing under his own spotlight like this is some kind of show.

Cool as ever-and one would even go so far as to call him dismissive if one were to fail to notice that intentional puff of smoke. That told him everything he needed to know right now. He’s walking on thin ice. Gracious, the giddiness this elicits in his chest! 

“In truth, I have come here with the intention of following up on that fiery morning we had. Something has been nagging at me all through my recovery, and I can think of no better dragon to quell this sleepless, inquiring mind than the one standing before me.” 

He extends a hand out of his improv spotlight towards an unoccupied sofa. “So how about the two of us get cozy and I can tell you allllll about it! Personally, I think you’ll be flattered by what I've to say.”

"Oh...these? Yeah, it took years to get 'em covered up, but I did it." They say, showing of what tattoo they can. Any more showing and they'd practically be naked. Not that it would bother them.

Fandaniel regards this individual, who is now perilously close to being nude before him, with fascination for precisely two reasons. Reason number one is their boldness (seldom did he happen upon someone who actually indulged his curiosity so readily!). Reason number two is the artwork decorating their flesh. Just as much as it was striking, there was something about the tattoos that he cannot help but presume are…oh… “Dangerous, are they?” he says. Then smiles and blinks like an inquisitive child would. There is nothing childlike about him though.

He decides to return the boldness with a little of his own. “Is that what you mean when you say you’ve covered them up for safety reasons?” He strides around in a slow circle, examining the tattoos, front to back, side to side, humming with interest. “Or mayhap you simply fear that exposing your birth tattoos would make people weary of you for some reason or another?” 

He feigns shame and says quickly, and ironically:

"You're annoying, but I'm sure this isn't the first time you've heard that, right?"

“Nay, as a matter of fact it isn’t the the first time I’ve been told how annoying I am, because, alas, I do make ruffling the feathers of others a pass time of mine.” Fandaniel takes a second to feel around his mouth for any loose teeth. Thankfully there is none to be had, for he would sound even more ridiculous with his face swollen the way it is. He didn’t need a lisp too.

“I will say though…” and this isn’t a lie or sarcasm, but rather sincere contemplation. To say this is a rare moment would be an understatement. “Never have I ever faced such a relentless onslaught such humbling repercussions. Dare I say they are beginning to catch up to me without my usual abilities to back me up.”

"Hmm..." And so rather than respond immediately she hummed to herself while pacing around, her hand resting beneath her chin thoughtfully. "I'm looking for models, actually! And you have a really pretty face~!"

“Now as for a maid outfit…hmmm…..you know…tis funny. In all my years, never had the opportunity arisen for me to don such a uniform?” He pretends to think about this. Really drag out the illusion of thought. In truth, he’s already made his decision. “I mean, not only am I in no place to turn down compensation…” The Ascian laughs and spreads his arms. “…but I also have absolutely no reason to turn down the offer when one with such a keen eye for models approaches me! You’ve chosen well, and I shan’t be one to disappoint!”
