Steve's parents are pissed. Their son has worked hard and have done everything he can do to better himself and start a business, and to see a commercialized chain swoop in across the street means that hard work might've been a waste. A Slice Of Life. Sure the name is a little corny or too on point, but this is Steve's baby. It gives him a chance to work with his hands, other than having to fight for his life. Eddie stirs from his sleep to find Steve dozed off, leaning back against the headboard, mouth agape and quietly snoring. He looks adorable still in his glasses, now crooked from his awkward sleeping position, where he holds Bethany safe in his arms. “Steve,” Eddie whispers. Steve’s bleary eyes snap open, startled he bolts upright.
