So...yer I know that there where many theories of Vallory being Fiona’s mother or that she once dated Felix..but after episode 3 where it got official that she is August mother a idea pop up in my mind.

All we know from Jacks mother is that she left poor little Jacky in the care of his grandmother after Jacks father died. It’s not clear what happened with her..did she leave because she was afraid to get killed to? did she leave Pandora? ...or did she maybe start a life as con artist with a young man named Felix and hadn’t time for a child around her until she decided to have another son that she named August?

When you look at Vallory you see some strange similarities to Jack that of cause could be just coincidence because it’s typical villain stuff but... could also be a hint... Vallory has one damaged eye with scars over it and slightly Jack style hair with a reverse color schema. (grey hair with a black skein) The grey hair also shows us that she isn’t quite the youngest anymore (50-60s). This would fit with the statement that Jack is in his 30-40s.

She also seems to be evil enough to leave a child behind because of selfishness, especially when you look at how she treads August. August is also somehow similar to Jack. They have a resembling body type witch you also can see if you place there bodiemodels beside each other. They also have trust issues because the people they love betrayed them and they deal kind of similar with the situation.

A also funny coincidence is that all tree got royal titles in the progress of the episodes. Jack calls August in the middle of the second episode princess. Jack calls himself King and Vallory gets introduced as queenpin in episode 3.

Open question: Why didn’t Jack react when he saw her? I think that after maybe over 30 years he doesn’t recognize his mother anymore. Mayie she had once like him heterochromia but now that her one eye is damaged he can’t even take that as a hint..

So in my headcanon: Vallory is August and Jacks mother. I’m sure that she knows that Jack is here son, especially because of his heterochromia that is rare. After she saw what he has become she must have been some kind of proud but also concerned. He had a horrible childhood because of her and even hired bandits to kill her mother (who had cared for him) because of it.                          She knows that when she would show herself to him he would do the same to her for leaving him when he was a chiled. So she doesn’t tell anybody.

But she knows and sees how cruel and powerful her first son has become, looking at her second son August with disappointed eye because he is now in the same age as Jack when he got to be CEO of Hyperion and August had become nothing more than a little pandorien gangster with a pub. Poor August always getting compared with Jack without knowing... just getting told how useless he is. 

When I started shipping it if I did:I didn’t ship them right away, and only started after I thought about more options for my fave Vasquez. After August said “Vasquez isn’t so bad, just a bit dumb”, I was on board. Not a single character likes either of them, that was the nicest thing anyone said about Vasquez, and it seemed to hint at… more behind the scenes. And all of this after August had previously explained that he’s playing a role to manipulate him? I was like… your cooperation seems super weird and with lots of games being played, but can it be that there is way more than meets the eye and you kinda like each other?

My thoughts:It’s like a classical love story of lady meets tramp! Romeo meets Juliet! Just, uh… way more interesting because this conflict is inside of them. The most wasteful high-polished Hyperion suit meets the gritty, snarky bar owner from Pandora, and they have to work together to reach a common goal. There is this constant tension due to their different upbringings and personal ideals, they really piss each other off, but they’re the only ones they have right now. It’s very intense and they grow very close over fighting common enemies.

What makes me happy about them:August defending Vasquez in front of Fiona, even though he really didn’t have to. Vasquez awkwardly being unable to end August’s call, even though it’s a really bad idea to let Rhys listen in. The thought of them bickering about ‘how shitty’ the other one is and then still defending each other, cuddling and giving comfort against the big bad world. Also, angry ‘I’m gonna stuff your big stupid mouth’ sex.

What makes me sad about them:I have the horrible suspicion that one of them is going to die. I am not really sad about August’s fixation on Sasha though, because let’s face it, he will get over it eventually.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:Not seeing any fanfic about them that is not written by me, maybe?

Things I look for in fanfic:Generally more. Them bickering and playing mind games to overpower the other and prove… some point. Them talking about their heartaches and truly opening up (crying is allowed). Them giving each other comfort but acting like they don’t reaaaally mean it. Them saving each others lives. Don’t make them be actually cruel to one another though, seriously, no rape, no non-con, none of that shit. They’re all they canonically have, ok? Let them have this.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: August and Sasha is a huge no-no for me. Do not let those two near each other again. I’m warning you!Vasquez should probably not get involved with Jack either, not that this is gonna happen, but… that man is dangerous as fuck. But I can definitely see Hugo becoming happy with Vaughn, the shady little fuck. Maybe after either of them had a change of heart, or both!, because Vaughn WILL betray everybody, and Vasquez MIGHT end up on the ‘good side’. I’m feeling it.I’d be totally up for a poly Hugo/Rhys/Vaughn as well.

My happily ever after for them:August gets over Sasha, Vasquez gets over Handsome Jack/Rhys/Vaughn/ALL THE PEOPLE HE’S INTO, and they become some highbrow/lowbrow Bonnie and Clyde badass duo who scam their way throughout Helios AND Pandora.

Who is the big spoon/little spoon:While falling asleep, August is usually the big spoon. Hugo likes to be cuddled and have his face close to August’s chest, and August likes to have the ‘upper hand’. But during the night, Hugo will often be the one grabbing August from behind, with arms and legs, and turn into the big spoon.
