genre: FLUFF, also slight suggestiveness because it’s atsumu (duh)
includes: kids (like, four of them), reader’s called mommy, Miya Twin Chaos 2.0, a baby angel and a feisty little sis
wc: 1.8k
a/n: heyyy it’s Lyssa :) this is my first (short) fic ever and i apologise for any errors or mistakes :”) this was purely self-indulgent ‘cause i was having dad!atsumu brainrot at 2am one night and thought it would be cute to write it out. hope you like it and please do leave a comment on what you thought! feedback is appreciated <3
PS: reader has four kids with atsumu, twin boys (6), a girl (3) and another little boy (2). also recommended that you read the character intro (coming soon!) in the AU1 masterlist before reading but it’s not compulsory :)
sighing, you unlocked the door to your home and stepped inside, noting that all the toys were kept neatly and the dishes were done and dried. the dining table was clear of the usual clutter and only a standing lamp next to the sofa was left turned on. it gave a warm glow to the cozy apartment you shared with your husband and four kids.
after setting your bags atop the dining table, you went upstairs to the twins' bedroom, hoping to see your rambunctious twin boys knocked out cold for the night.
you opened the door as quietly as you could and peeked inside. the twin beds were perfectly made, without a sign of anyone having been there earlier. confused, you went further down the hall to your daughter's bedroom. it was also empty, her blankets and pillows untouched.
you stepped back into the hallway. it was eerily quiet. having a set of twin boys who were exactly like their father and uncle meant that it was never quiet in the house, and neither did having two toddlers.
slightly worried, you padded over to yours and Atsumu's shared bedroom and opened the door. you peeked inside.
there, you found your beloved husband, Miya Atsumu, curled up on the king-sized bed with three of your kids. the twins, Ryūjin and Ryōta, and their little sister Atsukō settled around their father among their nest of pillows and blankets.
Atsumu was reading them a story, using an animated voice and wild hand gestures. the children giggled whenever he slipped on a word or read something wrongly. little Akira was already fast asleep in his crib next to the bed.
a warm feeling blossomed in your chest as you watched your family from the doorway.
"...and the tiger went ROaRrR-" Atsumu stopped and looked up from the book when he noticed you leaning against the doorframe. his eyes softened when he saw you, suddenly filled with so much love and admiration. it made your heart skip a beat even after so many years of having seen the same look in his eyes.
Ryūjin, Ryōta and Atsukō looked at their father with curious eyes, wondering why he stopped. then they followed his gaze to your figure standing at the entrance of the bedroom.
"MOMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!" Atsukō squealed, jumping out of bed and barreling her tiny three-year-old body in your direction. her older brothers weren't far behind.
you stumbled back as you were nearly knocked over by three of your children hugging your torso and legs. Atsumu desperately shushed them in fear of waking up your youngest son.
"MOM, Ryō borrowed my extra shoes for volleyball practice today and got them dirty!" Ryūjin, the older six-year-old twin, practically exclaimed in your face.
"DID NOT! it was already dirty because you can never keep anything of yours clean!" Ryūjin's identical twin brother, Ryōta, retorted.
"YES, I CAN-"
"SHUT UP!" came a higher pitched voice from behind the boys.
"can you two just stop screaming for two seconds? do you wanna wake Aki-chan up?" Atsukō whisper-yelled. she crossed her arms in front of her chest as she spoke firmly to her two older brothers. her cheeks were slightly puffed as she pursed her lips. she took her job as Akira's older sister very seriously. you had to resist the overwhelming urge to coo at her adorable expression.
her big brothers sheepishly scratched the backs of their necks upon hearing her words, blushing an adorable pink.
Atsukō really was like her friend, Bokuto Yua. they both understood the pains of growing up with obnoxious older brothers, and having to do damage or violence control more often than not. but compared to Yua, Atsukō was slightly more outspoken.
it was a common occurrence for Atsukō to have to yell at her brothers to stop their petty fights, or, on rare occasions, join their squabble. Yua, on the other hand, often had an authoritative and slightly intimidating aura when dealing with her three brothers. instead of shouting at them to stop, she'd simply pull them apart with the help of an adult (since she's tiny) and speak to each of them sternly.
Yua’s basically a mini Akaashi dealing with multiple mini Bokutos on a daily basis.
it was honestly quite adorable watching a stubborn but sweet little girl like Atsukō play and interact with a more composed child like Yua.
Atsukō sighed, shaking her tiny head before waddling over to you.
"mommy, how was your day?" she asked you in a much sweeter tone. her golden brown eyes looked up at you along with a pearly white smile that made you want to smOosh her cheeks together.
you kneeled in front of her her, chuckling lightly. "thanks for asking, ‘Tsukō. my day went great, sweetie." you pecked her forehead before turning to your sons to give them each a kiss on their cheeks.
"c'mon kids, give your mom some space. she's tired, aight?" Atsumu came over from his seat on the bed, ushering the kids back towards the bed as you stood back up. he approached and swiftly caught your lips in a sweet kiss, the words “welcome home, my love" conveyed to you through the tender kiss.
it was a short kiss but it was just as meaningful as every other one you’ve shared with him. you sighed softly into the kiss as his rough palm caressed the side of your face.
"EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW," came a chorus of kids' voices from behind him. fake gagging sounds could be heard too. Atsumu pulled away, huffing.
"please, it’s not like you’ve never seen yer folks kiss before. it’s gettin' late, back to yer rooms, you little nincompoops," Atsumu chided. the trio grumbled and shuffled past you into their respective bedrooms after saying goodnight.
"i'll give you your goodnight kisses later, okay? let me take a shower first," you called out to them, laughing at your family's antics.
"i’ll get those monkeys to bed first. you go ahead, darlin'. i'll join ya later," your husband winked, giving you an all-too-familiar smirk. you slapped his arm gently.
"can't a woman take one shower without it getting steamy?" you scoffed. truth be told, you've never minded taking showers with Atsumu. but you weren't gonna let him know that.
"nope," Atsumu popped the "p" sound, shaking his head before whispering in my ear, "also, that pencil skirt looks great, love. but I'm sure you'll look even better without it."
he smirked again.
you blushed at his words.
damn that stupid smirk.
he practically sauntered over to the twins' room after that, leaving you a hot blushing mess outside the bedroom.
—
you towel-dried your hair and stepped out of the bathroom just as Atsumu walked into your shared bedroom.
"dammit, y/n, must you take such quick showers all the time? i just got those three to bed! we never take showers together anymore," he whined, dragging out the last syllable.
"must you take so long to get them to fall asleep?" you countered, shooting him a smirk of your own.
before he could react, you walked over to your youngest son's crib next to the bed.
“hi, baby," you cooed softly, bending down to gently caress Akira's small face. his skin was soft and smooth to the touch, and he looked so angelic, sleeping peacefully in his small crib. he was ethereal.
(Jo, squealing: HIS CHEEKS LOOK LIKE MOCHI)
Atsumu came up behind you and rubbed his hands up and down the sides of your arms, breathing in the scent of your damp hair. your back was flush against his built chest as his lips brushed over your temple.
you never realised how much you missed these quiet moments together.
"he looks like you," Atsumu mumbled into your ear, his muscular arms slowly making their way around your torso.
"yeah... Atsukō looks like you, though," you mused. he hummed in acknowledgement.
"but the twins are perfect mix of both of us," Atsumu grinned, finally engulfing you in a huge hug. you laughed.
you turned around and lazily draped your arms over his shoulders, fingers tickling the dark roots at the base of his neck. you looked into his eyes and saw that same mix of admiration, mischief, happiness and so, so much love.
if Osamu were here, he'd probably be puking his guts out, seeing his brother give you googly heart-eyes. you chuckled at the thought.
"thank you, for givin’ me everything i could ever have asked for," Atsumu whispered. his warm breath fanned your cheek and he touched your foreheads together, his nose lightly bumping into yours. he closed his eyes, basking in the moment between you two.
your heart fluttered uncontrollably.
"you know, even after all these years, you still manage to give me crazy butterflies," you whispered, giggling. his eyes jolted open as he leaned back to look at me.
"oh yeah? i give ya kids, too, y’know," he playfully added.
"trust me, i know," you chortled.
before you could say anything else, though, he pushed you backwards and flopped your bodies in the middle of your huge bed. you yelped just as your back hit the airy mattress.
he braced himself with his forearm as he hovered over you, slowly trailing kisses from your ear to your jaw.
"then, how 'bout we have another one?" he asks, not once stopping his actions. you snorted, lightly pushing him off, only to see him giving you a huge pout.
"Taumu, we just had Akira less than two years ago. i don't think we'll be able to handle another one. or two," you shook your head.
before he could protest, you leaned up to give him a kiss. he kissed back, as always, but his lips still formed an adorable pout.
now you see why you’re soft for Atsukō's pout. she looks just like her father.
atsumu sighed and rolled off of you, but only to pull you closer not two seconds after pulling the duvet over yourselves.
he wrapped his arms around you tightly. his face snuggled into the crook between your neck and shoulder.
"i know you want a big family, Tsumu, but how about we grow this one first, before we think of having a whole volleyball team of kids, hm?" you giggled. he grumbled under his breath. "besides, my body can only take so much. and I don't think Samu would appreciate having to babysit so many Miyas almost every week."
"i guess you’re right..."
"i love you, y/n," he mumbled. "i love you so, so much." he gave your shoulder another kiss before entangling your legs together under the sheets.
"i love you too, Tsumu," you yawned, before slowly drifting off into a comfortable and restful sleep in the arms of the man you love. the man you built a home and a family with.
work could be draining and being an adult could be frustrating at times. it’s not fun, sure, but with a husband and family like that? you really couldn't have asked for more.
a/n again: hehe sorry, my writing really isn’t that good, i wrote this a while back but i hope you got the gist of this one-shot! go check out the rest of our tumblr if you haven’t already! it’s pretty chaotic interesting ;)

includes: married fluff, soft atsumu ugh my heart, also tsumu’s timeskip spoiler in case anyone doesn’t want any spoilers ??
wc: uH??? i’ll check later lmao
a/n: heyyy it’s Lyssa :) i couldn’t stop thinking about the previous request about atsumu with a reader who likes to crochet uwu so i thought i’d write another one but it’s timeskip atsumu instead, enjoy!
“Dammit, I’m out of yarn again.”
That was the first thing Atsumu heard as he stepped into the living room of your shared apartment.
It had been a long day for him, with Meian (MEIAN MEIAN MEIAN AHHHHHH *dies* -Jo) giving the team drill after drill after drill and trying to perfect the new deception trick with Shōyō and Omi. Demanding sponsors didn’t make things any better for him, either.
Atsumu was exhausted, to say the least.
He just wanted to get home, get changed, eat the dinner you had prepared for him, and cuddle with you for the rest of the night. Therefore, with only one of those things checked off his list, it took longer than usual for your words to click in his head.
“Tsumu! Welcome home, babe, I missed you today,” You said as you walked up to him with open arms and a smile. He welcomed your hug, leaning into your touch and inhaling your scent - the familiar fragrance of home.
“Missed you too, bub,” He sighed into your shoulder.
Oh, how lucky he was to call you his.
Giving him a quick peck, you pulled away and told him to change as you went to set the table for dinner. He nodded and did as instructed, but not before stealing another kiss from you.
The two of you spoke about your day over dinner, and you left briefly to pick up the crochet beanie you had been working on recently. You showed it to your husband, a proud grin on your face as you told him about the little details about your project. He smiled fondly at you, admiring how excited you got when it came to something you enjoyed doing. He wondered if you loved the same about him. (spoiler- you did, very much <3)
“I’m thinking of making a sweater next, but I don’t have time to get any more yarn soon.”
“Oh… maybe you could make something else, then?” Atsumu suggested. Truthfully, he had no idea how crocheting worked. He only knew that you needed yarn and a hook to make something adorable like a squishy octopus figure or a comfy sweater.
“I could… but I really really wanted to make matching sweaters for us this year,” You pouted. Your husband chuckled softly before he stopped, as if he had suddenly remembered something.
“Oh, I’ve already booked us a table at that restaurant down the street for your birthday dinner tomorrow. Since you’ll be at your friend’s place during the day, we can meet at the diner after I’m done with training,” he suggested. You nodded, smiling brightly.
You checked the time.
7:16pm
He was supposed to meet you at the diner at 7pm for dinner, but he seemed to be running late. It was odd because he had almost never been late to any of your dates, even after marriage. Pursing your lips, you took out your phone and opened his contact, your finger hovering over the call button.
Just as you were about to press it, you heard the front door of the restaurant jingle as it opened to reveal none other than Miya Atsumu. He was decked in a tux that looked nearly too small for his build and his hair was neatly styled, a contrast to his usual messy blonde locks. In his hand was his phone and wallet, as well as a brown paper bag.
“Hey, bub, sorry I’m late,” Atsumu said, smiling sheepishly as he took a seat in the chair across the small table.
The restaurant wasn’t very full, but you and your husband still sat near a corner of the restaurant, away from other customers. The fairy lights illuminated the diner with a warm glow, as soft clinking sounds could be heard from the other diners. It was a nice place, relatively quiet and comfortable with good food, too.
“You look amazing,” Atsumu complimented. You smiled shyly, thanking him.
He handed you the paper bag and explained,
“I already got you a gift beforehand, but I went to grab another one before I came here, that’s why I was late. Sorry about that.”
“Babe, you didn’t have to,” you chuckled lightly at your husband’s words.
“Just open it!”
You opened and bag and glanced at him briefly before taking out its contents.
First, there was a small jewellery box that contained a thin silver necklace, one that you had seen online and mentioned only briefly once. On it were your initials, representing Miya Y/n. You looked at your husband and smiled. It wasn’t the first time he had gotten something custom made for you, but it still warmed your heart all the same.
“Can I put it on for you?” he asked, eyes glinting with excitement and happiness. You nodded and he walked around to your side of the table before taking the necklace from you.
You silently thanked your past self for forgetting to put on a necklace, or you couldn’t have put your new one on.
“Breath-taking,” Atsumu whispered right by your ear before planting a soft kiss on your cheek and returning back to his seat.
You fiddled with the necklace that rested in the dip between your collarbones. The silver metal reflected the warm light in the room, your initials glinting off the surface. Your heart fluttered at the sight of your husband looking at you fondly yet again.
“Oh, and your other present-”
“Yes, I’m getting to that right now, love,” you laughed. His excitement was almost contagious.
Opening the paper bag again, you saw six balls of yarn, the exact colours and shades you were thinking of using to make your sweaters. You looked up at him, pure delight written all over your face. His grin was so wide it could’ve split his face in half.
“Tsumu! What- how did you- this why you were late today?” you laughed breathily.
He averted his gaze from you, rubbing his neck sheepishly as he mumbled out a “yeah…”
Before you could coo at his adorableness, he perked up, “But that was ‘cause it took me so long to find the store! I didn’t know they had three outlets in our neighbourhood alone!”
You laughed again.
“Thank you, Tsumu, I love it.”
He grinned back at you from across the table. Lightly clasping your smaller hands in his, he brought them to his lips and placed a gentle kiss on the back of each hand.
“Anything for my love.”
That night, you stayed up late working on your new sweaters. You didn’t have work the next day, so you could stay up to crochet.
You sat comfortably on your bed, legs crossed with you husband’s head laying snugly in your lap. His hair was ruffled and he couldn’t help the boyish grin on his face as he watched you.
He asked you questions about crocheting, why you loved it so much, and if you could make more things for him. He was getting tired though, and his eyelids drooping heavily by the time he asked his next question.
“Bubba… could you teach me next time?” he asked, yawning.
Fighting the urge to coo, you answered, “Of course, love.” before bending down to place a kiss on his forehead. He smiled up at you with his eyes closed, dozing off not long after.
“I love you,” you whispered.
The contented smile that spread across his face told you that he had heard you.
I love you, too, bub.
a/n: okay lol kinda strayed from the original prompt bUT HEY it’s some much needed fluff so I don’t think I care 😀 hope you liked it lmao and thanks for reading!!
we don’t have snow here but i’m thinking of atsumu blowing on my hands to keep them warm when we go out and then rubbing them together and then kissing my wrists and then engulfing me in that huge jacket of his and my face is just smooshed into his chest and it’s very warm and comfy and now i want an atsumu in my life 😭
Hii!! I love ur writing!! is it possible to ask for an Atsumu with reader who loves crochets and it's always making herself some clothes or accesories and him surprising her with a big pack of yarn n implements for her birthday?
request - crochet be mine?
highschool!Atsumu x f!Reader (set in AU3 sibling swap!)
includes: FLUFF, high school life (lol), puppy love (please, it's so cute)
wc:
a/n: hi dear anon! we’re really glad to hear that you enjoy our writing 🥺💕 this request was super adorable, of course we’ll write it for you! Lyssa doesn't crochet but i do, so we’ll be working together for this one (since it's an Atsumu request lol) enjoy <3
Atsumu’s POV:
She's using that hook thing again. Is it another sweater? Or a cute little pendant thing? Or another octopus? Whatever it is, it's gonna be super adorable.
Like her.
She was sitting across the aisle two rows in front of me and Samu, giving me a perfect view of her side profile.
Why haven't I mustered the courage to speak to her? It's nearly the end of our junior year!
Dammit, what's wrong with you, Miya Atsumu? You've never been so nervous about talking to a girl before! Heck, you have a whole fan club and you're surrounded by cheerleaders everywhere at volleyball matches!
This should be a piece of cake to you, you idiot!
I let out a huge groan and practically slammed my head into my desk. I whined once more as my eyebrows kept knitting (lol, I'm sorry, this is just so funny to me -Jo) themselves together into a frown.
"Why do you look like crap?" I didn't even need to raise my head to know that it was my younger twin speaking to me.
"Do you have any idea how disrespectful you are? I'm your older brother, ya piece of shit. OLDER BROTHER!" I practically yelled. Yeah, he was pissing me off.
The girl of my dreams was so near, yet so far.
And now, I had an irritating younger twin to deal with.
"Look, man. You've been pining after Y/N since spring break. Literally everyone knows that you like her. You got so shy after she came by the gym last month! The Miya Atsumu I know doesn't get shy in front of girls!” My annoying brother nagged.
But, his words did get me to think again.
If I actually got as nervous as what Samu had described-
Holy shit.
That means that it's actually true. I really do like her.
Samu plopped down into his chair next to mine just as we heard a voice a distance away, groaning in frustration.
“Dang it, I’m out of yarn. Again! This is the third time this week! And this was supposed to be a gift for the other girls at our extra curricular!” It was Y/N complaining to her desk buddy, Isaji Miyuki.
Out of yarn?
“We can drop by the craft store tomorrow after school, if you’d like?” Miyuki asked. Y/N shook her head.
“I can't tomorrow. My mom’s preparing my favourite dish for my birthday and I've gotta get home fast!" Y/N responded excitedly.
Whipping my head back to Samu, I elbowed him. Hard. He glared at me.
“Samu, I got it! You go ahead later after school. I've gotta run to the store real quick,” I whisper-yelled to my twin.
He looked at me suspiciously, before rolling his eyes and grumbling. “Sure, whatever."
Y/N’s POV:
A loud chorus of “Happy birthday, Y/N!” greeted me as I stepped into my classroom. Warmth bloomed in my chest as I smiled at my classmates.
I thanked everyone as I made my way over to my seat, noting that the infamous Miya Twins had yet to arrive this morning.
Jo nudged me with her elbow and gave me a pointed look.
“What?” I asked.
“Looks like someone’s disappointed that her favourite twin isn't here yet,” she teased. I flushed.
Was I that obvious?
“I don’t know what you're talking about,” I huffed.
“Oh, speak of the devils,” she murmured under her breath. Curiously, I looked up to see Osamu shuffling past my table, shooting me a small smile and another birthday greeting.
I mouthed a thanks to Osamu, just as his brother stopped right by my desk.
“H-hey, good morning, L/N-san!”
“Morning, Atsumu-kun,” I replied brightly.
A boyish grin was plastered on his face. He seemed to think for a second before he quickly reached back and pulled out a brown paper bag from behind him.
“Happy birthday, Y/N. I hope you like it!” Atsumu said in a rush, holding out the paper bag in front of me. I noticed that it was from the same store I usually bought my yarn from.
Before I could thank him, the bag was pushed into my hands as he scrambled back to his seat. His ears were tinged pink.
Aww, he's adorable.
Miyuki nudged my side again and eagerly gestured for me to open the bag.
Carefully, I pried open the brown bag and peered inside. In it were five balls of yarn, their colours similar to the ones I had been using for my current project. There was also a little note placed in the bag. I took it out and read it silently to myself.
Happy birthday, Y/N! I hope that you like the little gift from me :) I'm not exactly good with words but I really hope we can be friends, and I'm sure whatever you're making this time will be just as adorable as you are. Happy birthday again and I hope you have a great day too.
- Miya Atsumu
His sloppy handwriting was unmistakable on that small piece of paper and I giggled to myself as I read each line again. My heart was palpitating at an incredible pace and I felt heat crawl up my neck at his words. I heard a tiny squeal from Miyuki as she kept looking back and forth between me and Atsumu.
"He's looking at you! Go say thanks!" Miyuki and Jo urged. Hesitantly, I looked back at the yarn and the note.
Then, I finally found the courage to thank him.
Atsumu's POV:
What if I had heard her wrongly? What if I got her the wrong coloured yarn? What if my note was too cheesy? I don't wanna weird her out! Oh no, she's gonna think I'm weird now-
I felt my soul leave my body as I watched her take out the note and giggle softly.
Oh man, she's too cute for my heart to handle...
My heart seemed to stop as I saw her stand up and make her way towards my table.
Oh my God, she's coming closer. Oh shit, I might collapse halfway, dammit-
"Thank you so much for the yarn, Atsumu! And sure, I'd love to be friends with you," she said, dipping her head slightly with an unmistakable blush on her cheeks.
So. Damn. Cute.
I coughed, and spouted out, "Y-yer welcome, I hope you like it!" I could feel my face turning red.
The next few moments were pretty awkward. Both of us endured three seconds of silence before we both started to speak again.
"I was wonderin' if-"
"Actually, do you wanna-"
We spoke at the same time and looked at each other for a good two seconds before I heard my brother snicker from beside me. I shot him a glare and continued.
"Sorry, uh... I was wondering if you would like to come to my next game- OW! I mean, our next game, next Friday evening?" I asked, giving my brother a side-glare for slapping my back before turning back to Y/N.
Y/N's eyes glimmered, she stumbled over her words and finally squeaked out, “Yeah! Of course! Th-that's what friends d-do, right?"
I heaved a sigh of relief. “Great! Awesome! I'll see ya there!"
She bowed again before scurrying back to her seat where Miyuki and Jo were waiting for her with wide eyes.
I collapsed back into my seat as my brother snickered yet again.
"What are ya laughing at, asshat?" I snapped.
"Pfft, nothing. Just the fact that it took you six months to ask her to be friends with ya," Samu cackled in my face.
"Oh, yeah? Well, how about you and Jo? You literally spoke to her only after eight months. Loser." I pouted childishly.
Samu cleared his throat. "Fine. Have it your way." Damn, he's blushing.
Then it hit me.
“YOU LIKE JO-,”
He slapped his hand over my mouth so hard I nearly flung backwards and out of my chair.
“SHUT UP, YOU PIG-,” he grimaced.
Class begun soon after, but my mind was still reeling at the fact that Y/N would be coming to my next game. She's gonna see how great I am on the court and she'll definitely wanna be my girlfriend after that! I thought, daydreaming about her yet again.
I already couldn't wait for the game. Stupid Samu, of course I'll get her to be my girlfriend, just you wait.
a/n: aaaaaaaa this was so cute to write, thank you again for requesting!! hope it was up to your expectations and thank you for reading <33
