In Fallout games we get a lot of scrap. In F3 we had to decide what was good for selling and what needed to be blatantly ignored.

In FNV we got to use some of our scrap to make food, ammo and other small things. They even had DLC that added NPCs who wanted specific scrap for special reasons.

Then you have F4, where every single piece of scrap was useful in construction, and creating. That was what I needed, an excuse to actually interact with these things.

Now in the next game, whatever it is called, I want a little more. I want specific vendors who will pay a lot more for specific items. Like this weapon’s merchant wants hammers and will pay a lot for it. This doctor will pay a lot just to get some blood packs. This other drug dealer would pay a lot for a specific drug.

And you can keep asking for more quests about collecting certain items. And just take the highlighted items from F4 and you have a recipe for success.

Also the next Fallout game should take place in Hawaii. The game should be about a boat or blimp filled with NCR people who crash on the island and have to deactivate the nuclear core on the island. Only the island is attacked by sea monsters, special ghouls, a military facility with a factory that builds wandering robots, and a madman who lives in a volcano and has a faction of religious fanatics who think he is a god.

Your job is to kill the sea monster mother, rebuild a town for people to gather in, find a cure for the ghoul problem, stop the warlord, stop the factory robots, and deal with the cult. Amid other wacky and dark quests that show how awful America was in the old Dystopian past.

The game can open with the ship crashing and you making your character. Are they a soldier, doctor, mechanic, engineer, scientist, ambassador, or someone who snuck on board and just wants a new life?

i mean, it’s also a huge problem in the vaporwave and atompunk tags but it becomes way more… obvious

you’re not creating anything with a dreamlike or liminal feeling because “ai art” is inherently distorted and flawed looking.
