i reckon yuna is fire and david is water bcs if we go with him being a former player himself it would be funny if he was Ilya's fav.

after many years of fighting for the fire nation, climbing his way up the ranks and earning so much glory, Alistair had witnessed the true power of the avatar.

they thought they had him cornered..and the grey haired soldier even thought it would be a quick and easy execution like all the others, considering he was dealing with an immature little child..

but he thought wrong.

one by one their troop was being launched into the sky by skillful air bending, all of them flying all the way to the ocean, hitting the water with a splash.

Alistair charged at the boy, trying every trick he knew to capture this little brat, but the boy dodged every single attack he threw at him, eventually ending with the older man being apprehended.

he could hear a girls voice, as well as a snark remark from a boy who seemed about her age. they tied his arms behind his back and questioned him about their plans and the reason for their attack on this village they were invading.

“I will tell you nothing!“ Alistair spat, not willing to give up information that easily.

he could hear an explosion and the three kids briefly debated what they should do, before deciding that whatever was going on over there was more important than the soldier they captured.

“hey!! come back here you brats!! I am not done with you!!“ Alistair screamed.

from there on, Alistair´s recollection of the events got rather foggy, as he still had trouble understanding what he saw..

all he remembered was a bright, blinding light and a water geyser with that little bald boy in it´s midst. it was a frightening sight..the child´s eyes and air normad tattoos were illuminated in a white light and it seemed as if he was meditating..

Alistair had heard rumors of the avatar entering a trance of some kind, which made him infinitely stronger.

the older fire bender did not believe it..until now.

he could see his friend and general, Zhao, running across the ship, his expression full of anger and determination. what is this lunatic doing? he´s going to get himself killed!

another soldier came to his rescue, cutting the ropes that were binding him, before storming into battle alongside zhao.

but Alistair..?

he took another look at the unbridled chaos that was the avatar..and made his decision..

he snuck to the other side of the ship, tore up his uniform and jumped overboard into the ocean.

the water was cold and the strong waves ripped the remains of his uniform off his body, like he planned.

he used his firebending to swim away, not caring what was in front of him, only what was behind.

a/n: hi ! it’s shakira :) i wanted to write an au! of any sort so i chose Avatar: The Last Airbender !! firebenders are so cool <3 also recently i learned what an a/n is how fun :) im rambling sorry, enjoy !

Sapnap pushed his headband further up his head as continued to trek to the outskirts of the fire nation, spotting your guys’ little house by the river in the distance. He smiled to himself, the thought of being home and with you making dopamine surge through his body. He quickened his pace, dashing through the tall grass to get to the little building. He was returned from a long day of work as a blacksmith in the fire nation, creating beautiful glass objects and creations using the heat from the fire that he created within. 

He pushed is headband up on more time and gently pushed the door to the house open, glancing around for you.

“(y/n)?” he called out, after taking off his shoes and still not being able to locate you. 

“in here!” you replied back, revealing yourself to be in your guys’ bedroom, reading some book you had gotten a long time ago. He admired how peaceful you looked, without a care of the outer world. He leaped onto the bed and rested his hand on his hands, staring up at you. 

It was mostly based on climates of each country. I imagined Russians as waterbenders but generally using an alternative bending style, snow bending (bc you know,, Russia is cold and snowy). Soo they start with bending snow and then learn water bending techniques. And Japanese characters as firebenders like in ATLA. 

NOW. 

I imagined Viktor as a successful waterbender. He moves with such a grace when he bends water; his long, platinium hair creating a godly scene. He basically dances with water. 

Total opposite of Viktor, Yurio is quite aggressive when it comes to bending. He moves so sharp, he pushes and pulls so hard. His sharpness is actually very useful for snow/ice bending. Yurio throws sharp ice blades around, creates little snow storms etc. But his harsh movements makes it harder for him to bend water. He never learns how to bend water and he's quite sensitive about it.

WHEN WE LOOK AT YUURI, Katsuki family discovers he's a firebender when he was a little kid, probably he got a bit over-excited and burnt something. KATSUKI FAMILY WAS SO HAPPY WITH THIS, THEIR TINY PRECIOUS YUURI IS A FIREBENDER BC HASETSU IS A SMALL TOWN AND THERE AREN'T SO MANY FIREBENDERS. And Yuuri is hyped too! He is basically captivated. Years pass, he learns more about firebending thanks to Minako-sensei and he loves it too. Minako-sensei teaches him firebending in the dance. Yuuri finds it so fun to move, to dance with feeling fire in the depths of himself. But when people in Hasetsu start to pressuring him into using it as a fighting technique he backs away. He can't find the joy he feels when he dances with fire. With the pressure growing, he starts to feel like he's not worthy to be a firebender. He's not as aggressive and scary as the firebenders he'd heard in the tales. Days grow older and with each day passing, Yuuri loses the passion in him. He notices that he can't bend fire like he used to, so he decides to quit firebending. 

NOW BACK TO VIKTOR, monotony of his life starts washing him in greys each day. He dances for people, his shows are amazing! People in his country, in different parts of Europe love his performances so much. But with admiration growing, people start to labeling him as a water deity, something unnatural, too beautiful for this world. This impression makes him a stranger to the actual life. Yurio also admires Viktor, he doesn't show it often but Viktor's ability to move water like he owns water is fascinating and it gets Yurio too. Besides these, there's envy. Yurio wants to be able to bend water like that. 

ANYWAY.

 Viktor decides to go to Japan for a while. To escape the fame that has been caging him like he's an circus animal. And he falls in love with Japan. People don't recognise him, he can take bathes in the most beautiful water he has ever seen. And the day he comes to the onsen is the day he meets with Yuuri. Beautiful, precious, lovely Yuuri. Viktor decides to stay in the Katsuki family onsen as long as he needs. AND OFC HE TOLD YURIO ONCE THAT HE'S GOING TO TEACH HIM HOW TO BEND WATER AND THEN FORGETS ABOUT IT, YURIO COMES AFTER HIM SKCHWKYBWKCUW.

Viktor and Yuuri knows each other a little more with the passing time, they are basically fascinated by other one (Yurio thinks it's disgusting). Yuuri tells Viktor that he used to bend fire. VIKTOR GETS EXCITED. He asks Yuuri to show him a bit. Yuuri is quite shy about it but he shows Viktor the dance. Viktor literally falls for him. So he finds what both Yuri’s need. He gives Yurio the concept of “agape”, and Yuuri the concept of “eros”. This sounds like a ridiculous plan but they do it anyway. They dance with music (with Eros and Agape). 

And it helps. 

Oh god it helps. 

Yurio- who thought that this whole agape thing is basically bullshit- finds peace in the melody. He leaves his body to nature, to water, to unconditional love.

Yuuri, however, takes control of his body. He didn’t do it for so many years, when was the last time he was controlling his body like his body was his own, and was something to love? 

Viktor keeps telling Yuuri to seduce him and Yuuri not being able to resist to Viktor and his racing heart, dances to Eros. He takes control of his body and moves it so passionate, so ambitious, so cheerful with practice after practice. He wants to dance again after so many years. He wants to dance to Viktor, to show Viktor how fascinating firebending is, how good he can dance ("Watch me Viktor."). 

And Viktor, the one who doesn't tear his eyes from Yuuri even for a sec, feels the urge to dance with him. 

So Yuuri and Yurio dance to their own melodies. Yuuri dances until he can feel the heat, the passion, the fire to the edges of his fingertips. Yurio dances until he feels like the water itself, calm and holy, cold and soft, loving and forgiving. And Viktor knew they were already ready in the end of 4th week but he never told them. 

So they dance. 

They dance and bend. 

With them, Viktor finds the joy in the bending again. The most beautiful form of bending, the dancing. So they all bend. Yuuri and Viktor discovers the true meaning of bending in each other, fall for each other. 

They dance and bend.
