serpentinegraphite replied to your post: I hate this. I feel like I’m betraying my best...
Okay this ain’t really my business, and maybe this is like just poor phrasing, but she’s a grown adult and if he’s allowing or disallowing her to do anything, then you are not in the wrong. If this is a thing that makes her happy and he’s against that, then there are larger problems at hand. If he’s a good person then sitting them both down for a discussion about how she does enjoy this and it helps her cope should solve the problem. Sometimes it really is as easy as talking it out!
Thank you for your advice, sugar, and if I didn’t know my dad the way I do, I would take that advice. My dad is the kind of person that will say to my mum (and he has, for next year already) ‘Make a decision, conventions or a holiday’ and she chooses the holiday because she knows if she chooses a convention over a cruise just because she loves them that much, she can go to the next convention available and then kiss them goodbye forever. My dad is a man with a plan. When somebody goes against that plan, the family has a problem.
This is a man who started a week long silent treatment with me, ignored me completely over my 21st birthday and my mother had to give me my presents early just to make sure he didn’t throw them out the window or something, just because he got an ABBA song wrong in Mamma Mia and he felt like I was being smug about it when I named it correctly before he had the chance to Google it.
We’ve had discussions. The only reason he let mum go to Asylum15 was because I bought a ticket for her 50th birthday and even then it took him ages to settle with the idea of her going. But I can’t do that again. It won’t end well if I do.
He’ll say no, and she’ll stay home. Just because he says so.

Okay, so I asked him to channel Lucifer, and my god am I glad I was not looking at his face when this photo was taken. My knees would have fucking buckled, no joke...
To answer all your questions, the black angel is my beloved mother @clarencethecrazyangel, we attend these conventions together through a mutual love of SPN. Yes that feather boa is mine and I have kept it as Mark was a gentleman and returned it to me despite my offer to let him keep it. And yes, just looking at this photo makes me smile like a giddy child...

I did say I had a lot of photo evidence. I wasn’t kidding. I also just noticed that I practically fangirled for my entire photo description on the last post...
Mark Pellegrino plays Nick in Supernatural, a grieving husband and father lost in his sorrows for his murdered wife and newborn child. Lucifer takes advantage of his grief, torments Nick with hallucinations and in a perceived act of mercy, manipulates Nick into agreeing to become his temporary vessel until Lucifer can find Sam Winchester, his One True Vessel and kick-start the Apocalypse!
Can you see why I like this guy? He gets shit done! I am fully accepting of the fact that my taste runs towards villains for the sole fact that they are the most complex, often emotional characters. Their backstories are tidbits I am always hungry to nibble on and Lucifer has been a favourite of mine ever since I first clapped eyes on him. The smile, the careful words, the deliberate action...
Don’t get me wrong, Lucifer is a spoiled brat, throwing his teddy out the pram but colour me stupid, I still love it and no one will convince me otherwise!

Behold our darling, Briana Buckmaster! Briana plays Sheriff Donna Hanscum on Supernatural, now a perfect 50% of team Wayward Sheriffs (which obviously includes Jody) and a happy go lucky charm in comparison to Jody’s pessimism. Don’t be fooled though. Donna has some serious dark stuff hidden under that shiny smile, and we’re hoping she gets to kick its ass as we move into Season 11.

I was thrilled to meet our beloved Kim Rhodes, who is an inspiration, is extremely funny and is always up for a laugh. Kim plays the embattled Sheriff Jody Mills on Supernatural. Not gonna lie, Jodie’s been through a fuckton of emotional mess-ups but she’s a fighter and a role model and when life gets you down, follow her example and kick it in the face!
Carry on, Wayward Daughters!
