I just couldn’t take Rita Repulsa or Divatox seriously.  Way too campy. And Queen Machina was overshadowed by King Mondo, Prince Gasket, and Archerina.

Then, I saw Astronema and thought, “Wow, okay.  Now this is someone who I find legit threatening.” 

Plus, I loved how she would constantly change her wigs. Almost like mood rings.

Listen, folks. Psycho Path was… not the best, but certainly better than I expected, from the more stained plot summary. For instance: there’s just so much meta you can build around Karone’s hair turning purple whenever she uses the magic she learned as Astronema

The implication that Kerovians are human is bullshit to begin with, but almost explicitly ignored, here. I mean, humans don’t actually have telekinesis. That said, humans DEFINITELY don’t change their hair color when using magic (see: Mystic Force).

Another option is that Karone learned a truly alien TYPE of magic, that affects her physical form? This might explain th truly varied appearances of aliens seemingly of the same species, based on the amount of this magic they’ve used

Also does Astronema wear wigs to hide this magic tax type thing? That might be interesting, though maybe the wrath staff helped regulate that (see: her disguise in that episode she went on a date with Zhane for)
