backstory | history | personal sigil | house color
Delphine Fossoway, only daughter of Ser Eustace Fossoway and younger sister to Raymun Fossoway. Her childhood at Cider Hall was one of muddy knees, scraped palms, and grass stains. She grew up climbing the old apple trees, catching frogs in the Cockleswent, and sneaking into the kitchens whenever the cooks were preparing pies. She was a chatterbox from the moment she could speak, forever filling the halls with her observations, and she possessed a kindness that was inconveniently large for the world she had been born into. Delphine loved easily, forgave too readily, and felt every hurt as though it had been dealt directly to her own flesh.
After her passing, it was said that Ser Raymun chose the green apple for his new house sigil, for his beloved sister had always favored them—the tart little fruits she would pluck from the orchard with muddy hands and bite into without waiting for them to sweeten.
First time participating in ASOIAF OC week, but I only just found out about it today lol so had to whip up something quick for my AKOTSK girlie. Her fic is posted on both wattpad and AO3: memento mori
Lady Aryn Stark was the eldest daughter of Rickard Stark, Lord of Winterfell and his wife Lady Lyarra Flint. Their second child, she was raised in Winterfell, educated well and was understood to be witty, quick and intelligent to those that knew her. Some say the green in her eyes that suggested she had the ancient, mythological power of greensight. Versed in matters of running a keep and with knowledge of languages, finance and war; she was the perfect Westerosi bride. Suitors ranging from Lord Roose Bolton to Jaime Lannister were considered.
However, after the fated Tourney of Harrenhall and the deaths of her brother and father, her hand would instead be given to allies of the Stark-Baratheon cause. There was cries that she should be wed to the child-imp of House Lannister to swing the unmoved Tywin, that she should offer herself to the Reach in hope of ceasing the siege of Storm’s End, one fool even suggested Dorne which was laughed from the room.
There was one other option. Quellon Greyjoy and his Ironmen had remained on Pyke and not pledged for either side. The largest fleet in Westeros could easily raid the coast of the Reach and Dorne, and be the breakthrough the Baratheon alliance needed.
Aryn Stark, stronger than steel, is said to have taken the perilous journey to Pyke to negotiate her betrothal to the Iron Lords, old enemies of the North and the Rivers. Yet she convinced Lord Quellon, a reformer in her own right, to side with Baratheon’s rebellion. She was given the choice of his unwed sons, and chose his second son Euron to bed. A greenlander rockwife on Pyke was a small price to pay for a Stark victory.
She birthed two children for House Greyjoy, Darrion, later King Darrion I, and Lyra Greyjoy. She took to travelling across the known world and beyond on her husband’s great ship, the Silence. Collecting knowledge of warlocks, sorcerers and magi, as well as bounties of gold, jewels and rare treasures, she became known as her monicker ‘The Lady Crow’s Eye’.
But to many she was ‘The Crow’s Eye’s Hand’. A thumbs up and they would be spared from her husband’s raiding and a thumbs down would see their city sacked and ruined.
Ser Triston Fossoway was knighted at 16 years old, and his skills in swordplay were said to be second only to his dear friend and liege, Ser Loras Tyrell.
"The Pride of House Fossoway", Ser Triston carried honor as his duty, refusing to act ill upon others even with commands given by his lords. He was especially known to remain sided with House Bracken despite their initial allegiance opposing the Reach's support, refusing to betray the house where he was knighted, and the house of his dearest lady betrothed. Among other titles, he was known as the "Champion of Maidens" for his devotion not only to his betrothed, but to many women, common and noble, throughout his service.
After the War of the Three Kings, Ser Triston's betrothal would be broken. Instead, he would give the remainer of his life to the Kingsguard, with his name became an inspiration to young knights and instilling goodness in the heart of others.
History would later call him the "Knight of the Orchard"— a name first given in sweet irony for the green and golden sigil of his house, but one that remained for a purer reason. Wherever Ser Triston walked, he was said to leave honor in his wake, as though watering the roots of a dying orchard and waiting patiently for something good to grow.

From “Growing Strong: A History of The Lords of House Tyrell.”
text for pages down below
Born the second moon in 258 AC at Highgarden. Fathered by Lord Lynus Tyrell and his second wife, Lady Xuxa Tyrell. Black of hair, brown of eye, dusk complexion with freckles, tall stature. Young Symond served as a cupbearer to his grandsire, Lord Ralf Tyrell, for two years between ages seven and eight. Not long after did Ser Vortimer Crane take Symond to squire. He was knighted by his master in 274 AC at the age ten and six. He succeeded his lord father late 276 AC.
Many say that Symond’s ascendancy near caused the ruin of House Tyrell with his excessive overspending, lack of diplomacy at court, and dismissal of duties. His patronages dubbed him “The Late Bloom” and “The Fool On The Hill” for his poor judgments and lack of political savvy. The final straw for the lords of the Reach was the increase tax targeted to their domains. A council was summoned to overthrow Symond’s lordship, he soon resigned and sent to guard his sister, Lady Nysa Tyrell, who fostered at Casterly Rock.
His legacy as Paramount of the Mander resulted in ruin but his reputation as a knight was unfounded. He joined Lord Mace Tyrell’s forces at the Battle of Ashford and held Storm’s End under siege during Robert’s Rebellion. He served Lord Peyton Hightower as a member of the Oldtown City Watch, soon rising to Lord Commander. He returned home to take oath under the City Watch of Highgarden, where he raised his only daughter, Zoe Flowers.
He promoted to Lady Margaery Tyrell’s guard in 299 AC, soon dismissed by The Hand, Lord Tywin Lannister due to irreconcilable differences.
Ser Symond Tyrell, when under residence at Highgarden, shared a passion for gardening and tended to Highgarden’s shrubs in his free time. In his youth, he was credited as an exceptional tourney knight and cared greatly for the base born. House Tyrell’s staff praises his gentle and thoughtful nature.
