This pair would exist in the au where Jaime marries Nysa instead of joining the Kingsguard. It would take a lot of convincing because the Tully’s do give me racist vibes but Symond proposing to make Lysa, the unlikely bride, the Lady of Highgarden seals the deal.

Lysa does not care for Symond, she still wants Petyr. Symond does not care for Lysa, he wants Elia. They both want what they can’t have and it sucks.

I’m not sure what the relationship between the Reach and the Riverlands are but there would be a split amongst the lords of the Reach. Half glad that the Lord Paramount didn’t marry a lady with Summer or Rhoynar blood. Other half offended that their daughters didn’t get the chance to be courted.

Producing an heir would be a problem. Not only did Nysa spread word about the story of Lysa’s mishap with moon tea, so everyone knows she’s a) not a maiden and b) infertile. Symond believes it’s possible with enough effort and eventually they’d have a rainbow baby, but he’s not faithful. He’s still planting bastards in the Stormlands and Reach. Lysa doesn’t love him, but hates being humiliated. One thing’s for sure, that heir has the most dedicated parents.

Nysa/Roose

Ugh, the way I keep trying to get these two in a room together but it’s damn near impossible.

Okay, okay. Let’s say Roose attends the @rainwingmarvel7 Marah Tyrell x Edwyrd Dormaire wedding that Nysa and Symond are going to. Instead of Ned being offered as a potential husband for Nysa, Roose puts himself forward. For a hefty sum, of course. Since Symond is none the wiser with money, he accepts.

Trust, Nysa is drowning every bastard that comes her path. Ramsey would not be a problem, the most she’s ever done for women of the North.

The problem with a lot of alt ships with Nysa is that she’s greedy and ambitious. She wants power, she wants control, she wants money, she wants legacy. All the things Tywin is willing to give her on a golden platter. Being a Bolton bride limits her and she’ll be dissatisfied with the match.

That doesn’t mean they aren’t freaks. Nysa is the master of “I pretend I do not see it” when it comes to Roose’s crimes. Flaying? It’s tradition. Rape? Men do it all the time. The Red Wedding? Welp, now she’s in charge of the North so she can’t complain.

Darren/Margaery

The only au these two would marry would be Darren being king, which is unlikely.

Darren canonically has a crush on Margaery but doesn’t act on his attraction towards her because a) he hates Joffrey and doesn’t want to quarrel with him over a woman b) Margaery canonically has no interest in him and he’s not pushy.

But say, she acts on her attraction and not on her ambitions. It would be a quiet affair behind closed doors where he develops feelings for her and she distances herself because she wants to be queen above everything.

There is another possibility of Margaery surviving the Sept of Baelor, becoming a widow thrice over. I’m not sure who’d become king or queen in my story but Margaery gives up on being queen and moves on. Darren and Cersei are at war for Casterly Rock and he needs a wife. Who better than the prize rose of Highgarden?

With the support of the Reach, Loras’ battle experience, Olenna’s advisory, the Redwyne fleet and then some- Darren would become the Lord of Casterly Rock with Margaery by his side.

Lymond/Loras

They kinda look alike in these pictures. It’s almost like they’re cousins 💀

I think they cross each other at the Hand’s tourney but nothing comes of it. There was probably a moment where Lymond put two and two together and realized Loras and Renly were a thing. Lymond isn’t captured by Robb Stark but continues to fight the war on the Lannister’s side. They meet after the Blackwater.

Their relationship is purely physical since Loras is still grieving Renly. This is heaven and hell for Lymond, an emotionally unavailable Tyrell hottie. Where have I heard that before? RIP Aemond Targaryen, you’d love attending a “I love my mom anonymous” meeting with Lymond leading.

Loras courting Sansa? Ly’s okay with it! Sansa deserves a win in his book. Loras engaged to Cersei? Nope, this won’t do. Loras swears up and down that he wants nothing to do with Cersei, but Lymond doesn’t want to stick around and watch him get married to his sister.

Loras gets imprisoned and Lymond is making moves to get him out. They may not be together but he doesn’t want him suffering at the hands of heretics. Lymond would allow Cersei to blow up the Sept of Baelor in exchange that Loras keeps his life, she agrees on the condition that Loras flees Westeros and never returns.

My Viserys and Daemon. It’s nearly canon. What if Vhaenya married Maegor because he was interested in Rhaena first? What if Rhaena only felt safety in becoming a Black Bride because she’d, in a way, be married to her sister? What if Rhaena went through every sapphic in Westeros to make Vhaenya jealous? What if Vhaenya was the cause of all of Rhaena’s “companions” coming and going? What if Vhaenya was upset that Rhaena and Aegon married and she couldn’t be the “Visenya” to their “Aegon + Rhaenys?” What then?

I mean, it has to be Rhaena. 1) they are both lesbians. 2) Vhaenya doesn’t care for Aegon, Jaehaerys or Alysanne. 3) they’re closest in age, closest in relationship.
