Still buttoning his quilted tunic of sage colored wool, Aegon pushed past Shireen, her father, and Alicent, and dashed down the hall before disappearing around a corner. Alicent gripped Shireen's arm more tightly as Lord Boremund breathed out a chuckle and shook his head. How many countless times had he watched a half-dressed Borros run for the responsibility-less excitement of the outdoors like Prince Aegon was doing now?

From behind them Ser Crison Cole cleared his throat, and Shireen turned with Alicent to look at him. The knight's head bowed deferentially before he spoke a word, and he looked up at Alicent through long, dark lashes. "Your Grace, should I accompany the prince while he is out with Lord Royce's hunting party?"
