That AU, I just wanted to add more to it and add a twist. I love Anon's idea. I hope this is not crossing a line or guide line that you have, if it is just ignore this ask. The heaven’s Star after becoming obsessed with her decided he wants to make her his bride, his wife, his, HIS! The Heavenly Principles agreed as marriage can be a prison, they also secretly want her to be safe and still love her but still need to punish her, they are just mad that she wasn’t on their side. They can see that the heaven’s star is obsessed with her and being the godly beings they think that is the perfect husband for her. They think since this will keep her with him or when he is too busy, the principals can monopolize her time as her family again. They are still her family even though she doesn’t consider them.
The Heaven’s Star (Morax)(Zhongli)is already preparing for his future wife. He is planning for what will become Liyue to be a large estate just for her. He was collecting things like the finest silk and gold to give to her. He is getting anything he thinks she will like, like books and foods. He is trying to prepare to be what he believes is the best husband for her. He even creaded the adepti to be her companions/guards/jailors. The adepti were taught to keep an eye on her and were excited to meet her after the wedding, but that never happened. He is building a large bedroom for them to share, it's covered in silk and comfy pillows. The heavenly principles were even constructing a wedding dress for her in secret using measurements they still have for her. She would have been covered in white and gold silk and red. The lantern Rite was originally a celebration for the announcement of the future nuptials.
She disappears right before the wedding and right after the future wedding was announced. She just disappeared from the room she was caged in. Her things were just left there. Morax does not react well, he goes a little mad and the Heavenly principles are furious. The next time they capture her, they are attaching a leash and carrying her to the altar. Morax is trying to not destroy Liyue as he will not destroy his (future?) wife's estate. He becomes a monster of a god during her absence. Every god stays away from him out of fear. They are aware that a goddess that is close to the Heavenly principles was his bride but she disappeared. Many a goddess try to shoot their shot with Morax and they get killed by the Heavenly principles and Morax doesn’t care for them. He has stated that he will only marry his betrothed. He is only close to Venti and the other originally seven out of a business relationship. They are all scared of him and hope that he finds his bride again, hoping he will calm down after.
On the other side of this, Asmonday!mc is able to break her cage and hide her presence from everyone. She hides on khaeriah and changes her appearance. She tries to keep a low profile for the centuries she lived there but she becomes a legend. She is a protector of children and is said to watch over warriors. The sinners were aware of her and Gold kept her mouth shut when she merged with the other shade. During the Catalyst, Morax got a glimpse of her and tried to grab her, the heavenly principles also try to grab her but she ignores them and tries to save her home. She grabs survivors and forcefully transported them to other locations on Teyvat that are safe. She also hid their presences and kept doing it until she tried to rescue the sinners, she saved them from the curses but after getting them away, she stands up and disappears. Morax is mad and shatters the ground that Khaeriah once stood on.
She returns to her home and is weak, her body and immortality shrinks to basically nothing to gather her strength. She falls asleep under the water for hundreds of years and her presence is not detected until 500 years later after the catalyst during cannon, when the traveler finds paimon. She is very scared of the archons. Her power grows as the journey continues. When they arrive to Liyue, she feels like she is being watched. The adepti can sense something is off about her but Morax tells them he will investigate. He immidatly clocks that that is Asmonday!mc because what type of husband would he be if he didn't know what his future wife’s presence looked like. He keeps a close eye on her and makes the adept to report back what the duo are doing. He is waiting for her to return to her real form. He doesn’t fake his death as he still needs the nation to recognize him because Asmonday needs to be worshiped when it gets found out and they get married. During the battle against the two sea gods, Paimon's real form of Asmonday gets revealed. Zhongli immediately takes her and kills the two gods. Traveler tries to protect his sister figure but to no avail. The adepti take him as they think he is a perfect companion to keep her company.
Morax immediately takes the passed out goddess to the bedroom he has kept clean for thousands of years but not lived in, he gently lays her on the bed and cuddles her. He hates the worn out clothes she is wearing and he has cloud retainers change her to a luxury dress with jewelry. The Heavenly principles are immediately celebrating that she is back and are resuming wedding planning and are making it even bigger than before. Aether is trying to fight the adepti but Xiao is not letting him go. Xiao claims he doesn't have a crush, stop looking at him like that Moon carver. Morax is constantly keeping her close. He doesn’t get mad when she attacks him. Morax approves of Xiao keeping Aether captive as he finds the obsessed and possessive behavior Xiao has is perfectly okay and understandable after all, who wouldn’t do that for someone they love. Asmonday!mc and aether lose their fight after many failed attempts to escape and the fact that the Heavenly principles are always watching. Asmonday!mc gets married to Morax and Liyue is celebrating. After her wedding and before the honeymoon, Xiao forces Aether to marry him in a more private wedding. Morax keeps her right next to him. He is often holding her and is not willing to let her go. Xiao is the same. Asmonday!mc and Aether pity each other and often comfort each other. Asmonday gets pregnant she gives birth to a little girl named Hope. Aether is glad he can’t get pregnant but the shade of life gives him an egg, it hatched and it is a little baby girl named faith. He is the mother and Xiao is very pleased. The baby girls look just like their mothers and are kept under close watch in the estate. Aether and Asmonday might not like the situation they are in but they love their kids. They keep their babies close to them and have tea parties with them.
I never expected anyone to ever go back to that ask with the Asmoday!MC and Yandere Heaven's Star (Zhongli) idea, but here it is and I love it!
Yandere Zhongli is already a delicious and terrifying concept, so reading all of this was a treat~
But this makes me wonder now... since Asmoday!MC saved the Khaenri'ahns plus the sinners, do you think that the HP and even Zhonglj would hold it over her head about both the descendants and the cursed Khaenri'ahns still running around?
Oh, and Aether! What about his twin, Abyss Princess Lumine?! She has to have heard how her twin was captured and now forced in a marriage, and even had a daughter now! This probably pushes Abyss Princess Lumine down an even darker path...
Ah, another thing, does this mean that since Asmoday!MC and Arther have been captured in Liyue, that the rest of Teyvat (Besides Mondstadt since they had to go through there first) is fucked?
Like Inazuma is still close to outsiders with Ei hiding away, in Sumeru Nahida is still locked up and the people have no dreams, in Fontaine the prophecy will happen, and Natlan.... uh, that will be a mess-
There's also Nod Krai, and you know, Dottore... but i feel like in this au the HP smushes the annoyances before shit can happen...
Sides that, I love the idea of Asmoday!MC and Aether bonding over being stuck in marriages they never wanted (was not prepared for the Xiao/Aether bit, but love it) and their love for their kids... makes me imagine what would happen if the Lumine manages to break Aether out, she takes Asmoday!MC as well, and they, plus the kids, get the fuck off Teyvat.
