Hi! My name is Danielle and I am 17 years old and live in Minnesota! I'm currently taking an ASL 1 course in high school, and while it's going well I feel like I'm missing opportunities to stretch myself. I'm looking for someone who knows ASL (I would prefer it if it was your main language, but if you can hear fine and also know it that works too!) to video call with so that I can have conversations with you. I'm slow at processing things and still haven't learned much of the language, so this would mean a lot of slow finger spelling and explaining signs that I'm confused on. I realize that this would take a LOT of patience on your part, but I'll do my best to keep up!!!! I'd like to get to know you and become your friend, if you're interested in helping me me learn this language so I can communicate confidently I would be so appreciative!

I want to find an ASL buddy. Is anyone who knows ASL or is learning ASL wanting to do a skype or facetime chat to help me study/get more comfortable signing?

I'm taking an ASL class this semester and I'm seriously excited about being a bit nervous before each class, and more importantly being challenged. My professor is fully deaf, and there was only an interpreter there on the first day. The rest of the semester we are just fully immersed into signing. Eager to learn about the deaf culture and hopefully be able to apply these skills once I'm an educator in my own classroom if needed. Pretty dang cool.
