I have been learning ASL and I have a question for any Deaf/deaf/hoh people. Is there a way to use only one hand for all signs? I have a condition that makes it difficult and painful to use my left hand and can't use it most of the time.

Trying to learn ASL, partially because I think it’s interesting and partially because there is a deaf man who occasionally shops at the place I work. The most difficult part I find with trying to sign in real world conversations is that I automatically look into people’s eyes while trying to listen to them talk. To make it look like I’m paying attention (I’m not, I’m too busy trying to be normal). The problem with that is I’m then not looking at the signs and therefore completely miss what is being said.

I have decided to learn ASL, and so far I've memorized the alphabet. If anyone knows and good resources or ways to help me learn, please let me know. I think ASL will be really useful in my life and I really want to learn

yall learning ASL is so fun I'm ngl. Learning any new language is difficult ofc but there's just smth fun about ASL. It's also rly interesting to learn more about the Deaf community?? Ogiufh idk just a post appreciating ASL and those who use it for whatever purposes ❤️
