Carnival food! Fried and sugary artery clogging tooth decaying delight!
Knights of Columbus Silent Auction food, yknow the watery green beans with boiled bits of bacon and white onion, the hush puppies that are either moist and delicious or dry as a bone, the mac n cheese that is really good if you got there early but turned to stone otherwise, and the fried catfish fillets that EVERYONE and their grandmother shelled out for the $17 meal ticket.
And whatever the hell you’d call North Dakota food. ‘Cause like, my family is primarily German/Austrian in food ways? But there’s a lot of sneaky ass Scotch foodways tucked into it! Like, earlier this week my mom made Bubble and Squeak, which is apparently English(???) But my baby sitter in Grand Forks made it for us all the time (lotsa Chermins dontchaknow?).
11.) Preferred way to spend a rainy day?
On a cold rainy day: under a blanket, with a movie, warm drink, and laptop. And probably a lunch break on a porch with a light coat on.
Warm Rainy Day? Go on a long walk without my umbrella and with water proof shoes.
