genuino, accidentally getting uncomfortably close. shows you a rather long piece of paper. some of it reads: “you don’t need to worry about offending me. while the things that happened to me are unfortunate, they happened forever ago. i’m a 28 year old man i’m not too sensitive about the topic anymore, i actually like telling people these stories! even if the story is less than pleasant.”

“anyway as for the face. its a mask, there’s two reasons i wear it . one: it’s a comfort, I guess. I originally got it when I lost my eyesight but I decided to keep it and while I don’t mind taking it off, I usually only do that when I’m showering or about to go to sleep. and as for the other reason..” genuino puts the paper down before you can read the rest of it, causing you to look back at him. he’s reaching to the back of his head and with the help of his stand, he undoes something at the back of his head making the mask come off 

with the mask now in his stands hands they put it down and pick up the paper once more. it reads: “my face. i don’t know what it looks like, i’ve never seen it since losing my eyesight. actually, the only time i’ve even remotely seen it was when the incident happened.”

 “there was a mirror there. i remember, with a searing pain. no, an agonizing pain on my face i looked up just to see melted skin mixed with blood i couldn’t even recognize it as my face anymore. i could not see a thing from my left eye and my right was blurry and distorted, but i could still see the damage that-that man had done. I couldn’t even describe such a sight but i do know i truly truly wouldn’t wish the sight on anyone”

“and uh after that i got a lot of surgeries and then i got glass eyes in my sockets i can even take them out!. anyway, the reason i wear the mask is because whatever my face may look like i understand its probably unpleasant to look at so i spare my customers and anybody who happens to see me the sight of it…except you I guess. anyway, that got just a little dark, but still don’t be afraid to ask anything that might still plaguing your mind.”
