I’m a very canon centric person. I like to follow what is given but I think when it comes to shameless in later years that becomes tricky because season 11 for example contradicted like half the show lmfao. When it comes to the ending of a show I don’t think canon could be pushed like that. We know the writers stopped caring. I’m late to this discussion 😂 IThey had Ian saying they cook in one episode then saying they don’t in another. Nothing adds up.
oh yeah, i totally agree! i think there are themes and through lines in canon that we can’t just toss aside, but there are later moments/storylines that totally disregard years of development. or just. don't make sense in the larger scope of the show. rather than insist they didn’t happen i generally just choose not to think of them at all 😇 it’s called self-care 😇 nothings adds up! don’t let it stress you out!Â
