It's cliche, I'm sure, but the scene where Bob frees himself from the toilet is the one scene that keeps coming to mind when I think about this question. "Glued, Where's My Bob?" is just so good and so quintessential "Bob's Burgers." The music is perfect, the ending is perfect, the characterizations are perfect.

Bob freeing himself and everyone--even his enemies--cheering is a beautiful encapsulation of the series's heart. Even at their lowest, the Belchers don't give up on each other or themselves. The core conceit of the show is that love (in all forms, but especially familial) can overcome almost anything and that love can soothe even the worst failures and hurts.

Bob "fails" in that he doesn't get his perfect interview. However, he still wins because he frees himself and the whole town celebrates. Everyone loves a good underdog story and the Belchers are beloved citizens, both in-universe and out.

Tina belcher: I am Tina nearly to the T; we share the awkwardness, the bad self-esteem, the love of fanfiction, and so on. It’s like looking back at little me but with the familial support that I didn’t have as a kid. I’m able to live vicariously through Tina while cheering her on.

Teddy: I see an awful lot of myself in Teddy, though my social anxiety trends in the opposite direction; whereas he barges into situations, I overthink them to the point that I skip social situations entirely. Teddy’s fierce love, loyalty, and sweetness are what makes him so important to the Belchers and to the show. His questionable actions I either ignore, handwave, or chalk up to different writers, though I completely understand why others don’t like him.

Gene Belcher: Gene and I share an unkillable love of food and a zest for "childish" things. He’s also so much into music, my one greatest creative love, that I can't help loving him. Gene reminds me a lot of one of my nephews that I adore and who with I share many traits.

Bob Belcher: Bob reminds me a lot of myself in regards to his dislike and distrust of people tempered with a desire to be more sociable. I also love his little quirks, like getting so passionate about food and talking to inanimate objects. Bob is me if I were a much better cook.

Linda Belcher: Linda is what I would be if I had much better self-esteem. Her love of music and theater alone make me want to be her friend. As well, she’s so protective of her family to a fault sometimes–much like myself, trying to shield my loved ones from any harm.

Louise Belcher: Louise is like a few friends and relations of mine, so I think of her fondly even as I’m groaning like Tina at her antics. She always comes to the moral conclusion eventually. Plus, she’s fiercely loyal to her loved ones and that I can empathize with that.

Mort: Mort is so chill and so sweet even when other people treat him badly. He’s consistently kind to everyone and he’ll offer up his home, his mother’s home, basically anything to help out. Mort doesn’t get nearly enough attention in the fandom or in the show, really.

Regular-Sized Rudy Stieblitz: Rudy is the kind of kid that I wished that I had. He’s friends with Louise despite their very different personalities and he’s just the sweetest. Plus, he’s got a lot of the same medical issues that I had as a kid so I emphasize a lot with him.

Zeke: As rough as Zeke might be, he’s genuinely a nice guy. He never begrudges Tina her obvious jealousy and he’s friends with all of the Belchers. He’s the kind of kid who can befriend anyone and is always up for whatever scheme is going down at the moment.

Marshmallow: Marshmallow is one of Bob’s most consistent friends. She’s reliable and supportive, regardless of the issue at hand. However, she won’t cotton to anything that she sees as wrong because she has a strong moral code.

Part 2: For the record, a lot of you all can't see the devastation the idf(backed by US too) caused to Gaza Strip because they bombed off the internet there too, so not many citizens can tweet and show it. They're literally on rubble and destroyed remains, so you know it's worse for them. Military is like cops but transnational, other countries get hurt. War makes both sides lose. All warmongers are bad too. Please stop sucking Gal's dick and cheer for #FreePalestine instead thnx. 2/2

If I remember correctly, this was for the “Salty Ship” Meme. Specifically, I was tasked with naming a ship that is very popular in one of my fandoms that I just don’t understand.

I’m very much with @keyofjetwolf in regards to Seiya/Usagi. I find Seiya overly aggressive and off-putting, and I’m annoyed on Usagi’s behalf that Seiya can’t seem to take a hint. I’m upset that a character I otherwise like a lot is spoiled for me because so much of the Stars season is wrapped up in Seiya/Usagi drama. As someone who actually likes Mamoru, the idea that Seiya is a “better” option annoys me as well because Seiya exhibits many of the same negative traits for which the fandom derides Mamoru. While I certainly can see Seiya/Usagi working out (I’ve actually created multiple alternate universes with the pairing), I’m of the opinion that, canonically, Usagi will always choose Mamoru. Lastly, if you’re going to ship Usagi with a feisty brunette other than Mamoru, why not Rei?

Shingo as Ami and Mamoru’s younger brother is still snarky and studious, but significantly less abrasive. As the last result of his parents’ attempts to mend their marriage, Shingo has misguided guilt over failing to “fix” their relationship. He idolizes both Ami and Mamoru, though he finds them both overly proper and wishes that they shared his hobbies more. Shingo’s not into the arts like his siblings, and he’s angrier about their father’s abandonment then they. But Shingo loves his family more than anything, and so reigns in his vitriol when their father’s letters are few and far between. Shingo is a much-needed breath of fresh air for the Mizuno family. Shingo just wants to make his family happy.

Shingo as Rei and Mamoru’s brother is Rei Lite. He’s as blunt as she, but less explosive about it. He and Rei fight constantly, both convinced of their moral superiority. But when they have a common enemy (sometimes Grandpa, often Mamoru) they’re unmatched. Neither will speak of or to their father, and both rail Mamoru for even attempting to mend fences. He’s a better acolyte at the shrine than Mamoru but not nearly as good as Rei. Grandpa knows that all of his grandchildren’s paths lead elsewhere, but he still appreciates their help. Shingo teases Mamoru for his boring hobbies and shares in Rei’s idol-worship. As they grow, Shingo vows to be as successful as they are. Shingo just wants to make his family proud.

Shingo as Makoto and Mamoru’s brother is the spoiled youngest sibling. Mamoru claims them both at the orphanage as soon as his inheritance kicks in, and all three are as close as can be. Shingo is Mamoru’s shadow and Makoto’s muscle, though he’ll begrudgingly admit that she’s the better fighter. Although Shingo is less annoying in the Kino household, he and Makoto do have their arguments--usually over rules when Mamoru is at work and leaves Makoto in charge. More often than not, Mako will eventually cave and Mamoru will find them sprawled on the couch asleep, the pack of cookies (badly) hidden under the table. Shingo will defend either of his only siblings to the death. Shingo just wants to keep his family safe.
