To @zonerobotnik: Merry Christmas, @zonerobotnik!!!!! I'm still praying to the Lord (Pardon my religious language, I'm Christian, so I really hope that doesn't bother you.) that your financial situation will get better very soon and that you get a much better house as well, and may Jesus bless you and your entire family with safety, happiness and love on this truly special day. And also, I have another, and this time different, ask about Monty! (So sorry if that sounds insensitive.): I still can't quite understand why yet, but there's just something about seeing Uncle Monty smile at Rapunzel in the episode "Rapunzel's Return" that just makes me feel all warm, fuzzy and tingly inside. And also, if you look very closely when he does, the feather sticking out from his hat perks up too! Awww. One of my short theories about this is that since Rapunzel is Monty's sworn nemesis, (and I don't mean that in a harmful manner) the chances of him ever offering the Princess herself a genuinely friendly smile are about as likely as the posters ever getting Eugene's nose right on them, (light reference to the movie) and he is usually very warm and friendly to everyone else in the kingdom, so maybe it's just seeing a usually rather grumpy character smile a sweet (no pun intended) smile for a change that really begins to melt your heart. And I know this is going to sound absolutely ridiculous, but for some reason, I find really funny to imagine Uncle Monty kind of bragging like an evil villain (hilarious, hammy and over-the-top evil laugh, dramatic hand rubbing, evil gloating and all) about being Rapunzel's biggest hater and arch-nemesis and how he gets away with it so easily when nobody is around to buy his candy. Yeah, I'm not really quite sure why I thought of that either. But overall, I just really find his smile so adorable and sweet (And also, have you noticed that his mustache sort of looked different then how it normally did when he smiled at Rapunzel? Not that I mind of course. In fact, I actually find it very cute.) and I genuinely sometimes wish people/fans would give this moment more attention and love and recognize this softer, sweeter and kinder side of Uncle Monty more often. I don't think Monty ever even made ANY mention to how he felt about Rapunzel, much less bragging about it, except to her face. He booed her the first time in a huge crowd, where no one could pick him out. Passing on the street, in a noisy carriage, no one could know that he's talking about her specifically. Except for to "Misty", Monty hardly ever showed anyone his dislike for her. And Rapunzel only ever brought up her feelings for him when he was put in front of her, or when she crushed him in that food diorama. In fact, aside from Rapunzel blatantly booing him in public, in full view, obvious to everyone including her father, no one knows that they have a problem and it is, at most, one-sided on Rapunzel's part and she just doesn't like the candymaker for some reason and he responded in kind. Yes, it is a nice scene, but there are other scenes of Monty smiling.

It's just a bit monotonous to only focus on that one smile. Especially since in the first and third one, he is relaxed and smiling at Rapunzel, excited about a fight well-won or a fight soon-to-come. It may not be the "Aww, thanks for caring about me!" smile of a man that has been long under a brutal oppression (which he feared Rapunzel would do to him), but he does have some very nice smiles. The fact that he dropped the smile right after wasn't a "I'm pretending not to like you", because I checked the episode and right before that, he did this:
He is genuinely happy to see her, the light in the darkness, as soon as she steps down the stairs. He then was sulking as she started to hug people
because he thought that she didn't like him. So, when she DID express that she missed him and was happy to see him, he was shocked
then smiled
He then looked in emotional pain
and turned his attention to Xavier saying "We stay hidden" as he started to tell Rapunzel what happened in her absence.
So, no, there actually was no pretending to dislike her after smiling, that was him sulking beforehand. From that point on, he was focused on the task ahead, resistance, preparing to fight back - which made the Saporians take drastic measures and cause infighting between Varian and the Saporians, who up until then hadn't resorted to killing anyone. With Varian's help, they most likely had a bloodless takeover, and then Rapunzel came back and threw a monkey-wrench into the whole thing. After that, they had a few bumps but were allies, if not friends, throughout season 3. On her mural wall, she painted him like this,
when in Season 1 all she had was this.
So, yeah, it's wonderful that they started to be friends after she got back, but I like the smiles he gives when he's not feeling relief and joy for the first time in months and is shocked and relieved that she actually cared about him more. I hope she and Monty become best friends and she brings her kids to see him every day.

Alright, folks, I've opened my AskBox but here's a few rules to keep it open:
1) I do not have money to send you and I am not the billboard for your gofundmes. The number of Asks I have been sent, before even announcing it, asking me to send them money or reblog their donation post is baffling. How did they even know my Askbox was open, are they stalking my blog?! I am on a fixed income and living in a low-income apartment because we barely have enough to live on and most of our belongings are locked up in a storage unit, I do not have money for you! Stop asking, please! And if I were to reblog every single gofundme post sent to me, I would have literally nothing else on my blog for DAYS. That's how many messages I have gotten and I don't even know if they can be trusted to not be a scam! So, please, no more!
2) Be nice. If you're a jerk, your Ask will be deleted upon arrival and ignored and any attempts to continue the harassment will receive the same treatment. I'm not even going to reply to those kinds of Asks.
3) It's a new year, let's try to bring some healthy energy into it, yeah? I don't care if you block me based on a rumor, but don't be harassing people based on a rumor or making callout posts. Let's try growing up a little and let people play the way they like. Stop kicking down sandcastles and breaking toys. We could actually talk civilised about fandoms if it weren't for your idiotic insistence on pointless things. I would actually like to talk about Tangled or Danny Phantom if it weren't for your obsessive, repetitive behaviour.
As I recall, this whole thing started when I was pointing out that if I was doing a full rewrite of the series, I would use the Fenton Ghostcatcher more often, especially in Phantom Planet. You then decided to insult the machine, my favorite episode and me and any mention of it afterwards was a personal attack on you. Any time that I pointed out that his humanity has canonly actually made him weaker and the only way he could properly develop as a ghost, without completely losing himself like his future self did, was to use the Fenton Ghostcatcher to remove his humanity in a way that wouldn't kill it permanently, you decided that I was "bringing that stupid machine up" and ignored my whole point. You're the one ignoring canon and saying that he's strong enough to beat Pariah Dark on his own and that his humanity actually makes him stronger. It doesn't. It canonly does not. And all the ghost fighting is making him lose sleep and struggle in school and his social relationships. He spends more time with Sam and Tucker doing ghost-hunting stuff than actually doing normal teen things, and while Sam may love it, Tucker clearly misses that and so does Danny. Combined, they are making each other weaker. But separated, they can be strong on their own and still work together when it's necessary. I have already come up with a cover story for them being apart more often, with Phantom saying that he saved Danny's life when he was caught in the portal by giving him some of his ectoplasm to heal him, and Danny helps out because he opened the portal in the first place so he feels responsible and wants to clean up his mess. But you, instead of paying attention to everything in canon that says that he would be better off split once he learns how to in a non-painful way and that doesn't require constant concentration, think that the Fenton Ghostcatcher is pointless and he's more powerful as a half-ghost because "humanity is a booster, not a weakness", or however you phrased it before. I might actually introduce the machine sooner, too. Can you imagine if they learned how to split before the circus episode and Phantom deliberately removed Danny from himself so he could go join the circus? Oh, the angst! Danny and Tucker could help break Sam out with her grandmother's help and they'd go to find the circus and Danny, not Sam, could be the one to wake his other half up when he's on the verge of falling to his death! There's just something about having to wake yourself up and stop yourself from doing something stupid, plus Phantom snapping out of it and flying down to save him is always chef's kiss for me. And that's just looking at it as "they're two parts of one person", no shipping involved. Anyways, you're the one who turned it into an argument, not me. I only pointed out the canon facts that explained why he wasn't able to develop properly as a ghost, or why he didn't use certain powers more than once or twice. You're the one who latched onto me talking about him using the Fenton Ghostcatcher to remove his humanity in a way that wasn't permanent or painful for him and took offense to the very mention of it. I just wanted to have a good time talking about a show, but you made it into a fight.
So, how much on screen evidence from Skulker calling Danny "Half human, half ghost. One of a kind," to Spectra saying "Ooh, but I already have and, you Danny, you're the grand prize, I need your genes to lock this perfect body together and stabilize it so my ghost form never burns out and never grows old," do you need to blatantly disregard in order to stupendously say claim that Danny is just a possessed boy?
Ahhh, but my theory based on the evidence seen so far is that he is a human and a ghost merged together to make what appears to be a half-ghost, not that he is merely possessed. Phantom clearly merges with Danny's DNA. And, hm, isn't it odd that their statements make it that Vlad Masters/Vlad Plasmius, who they know, is NOT a half-ghost? And yet, Phantom was able to rip out Plasmius without killing the human Vlad Masters in the process, so clearly he has them all fooled and they have Danny's situation confused.
Half-ghost, half-human/half-ghost is honestly a really bizarre situation that can't be properly explained. Both incidences took place when the ghost portal was being opened and the humans were blasted by ghost energy, which does not naturally happen. I think that, normally, a natural portal would be able to detect a human and ghost in the same area and not open, but artificial ones don't have that ability. Therefore, a half-ghost is actually a human and ghost merged together in both cases, and Vlad just had a really rough time of the merging process because of how screwy the portal was, and so his ghostly energy/inhabitant Plasmius overpowers the weaker human Vlad, while Danny and Phantom coexist because they had a less complicated merging process.
Wow, that actually makes the inconsistencies make sense! I'm making notes for my rewrite!
