It’s probably going to be a one shot, but I’ve been working more on that vampire!rallie fic we talked about.

I now have a kind of rough outline for it, that being that Rank and Collie are living apart despite the fact that they are happily married (and have been for about 100 years. Of course, since they keep having weddings for funsies, it’s kind of hard to keep track of how long they’ve been *officially* married, but oh well.)

Anyway, they live apart due to the fact being a vampire in the modern day as I’m setting it has become much harder than it used to be. Humans have different contaminants in their blood due to pollution, new drugs, illness, etc. And it can be hard to know what you’re getting into unless you get a bite in, which can lead to getting sick or even dying if you’re unlucky enough. Feeding two vampires in one area on such limited resources can be very tricky and if one is reckless, could even lead to possible detection.

That being said, Rank gets a job at a hospital and has access to blood that’s been donated/collected for transfusions so he *knows* it’s ’the really good stuff’. His goal is to smuggle and store enough to sustain himself and Collie so they can try living together again. This is a long range goal, but they’re both willing to wait it out. That being said, they decide to cut the process short when they see a news report of a recent murder and recognize the victim as another vampire they both know.

It prompts the question of just *who* could have done this? Are they safe even with all the ways they’ve had to adjust living their lives? And with more of their kind getting harder and harder to find, could it be that they’re among the last vampires alive?

I like them!

I feel like I like them *best* when they’re also with Ray in some way shape or form, but I think they’d be an interesting couple just the two of them as well. I think about the fact that McVries and Stebbins could be steadying forces in each others lives. They’re both very determined in their goals and both very strong to the point where sometimes people forget that they need to be handled with care, but they wouldn’t forget that with each other!

I also think they’d be interesting as an ‘opposites attract’ couple. They seem a little sun and moon coded to me (McVries: Sun and Stebbins: Moon)

Gavries: Oh, the devotion of them. The Sad Tale of them. The one that sort of kicked off the homoeroticism of The Long Walk right at the starting point. I love them and find them deeply compelling.

McBarker: One day I will write my Sinners fic featuring these exact three and the world will know my McBarker plans to their full extent, but it’s not that day today so I’ll merely have to state fact: I LOVE this threesome. They are deeply interesting to me and they have a dynamic with so much potential. I’m instantly enamored.

I love Barker so much, it’s like my favorite TLW ship if I may be so bold. I love how gentle and concerned they are with and for each other. Collie dancing with Art and Art trying to stumble back for Collie makes me PHYSICALLY shake. I love them so much, I’m writing about them in space and how only the power of love can save them.

I was really surprised to find this was a rarepair when I first joined the fandom. Like, genuinely, it’s got everything. It’s sweet, devoted, passionate, *hot*, nuanced, fun, silly, full of chemistry, angsty, it’s just…*sigh* ugh I love them so much. Everyone get more barker pilled *now* even me, lol

Okay, so feel free to throw tomatoes but I…don’t really see Colson as romantic. I do love them together! But like, I see them as besties forever and that friendship intrigues and sustains me *deeply*. Even in the case where they’re in a poly relationship of sorts, I do see them more as Metamours. That being said, as a Demi person that doesn’t mean that I don’t love them as a pair.

I think they have a really fascinating dynamic and that they parallel each other in prominent ways that I personally cannot stop chewing on.

(Also a fic with them navigating a poly relationship with Art would go *so hard* in my humble opinion.)

Litterbug: So, in this particular fic, I’m thinking that it’ll be ch3 of a single 7 chapter fic? (Hopefully, I can get it ready in time! ) My thoughts about it are that Hank and Stebbins are walking a long road in the underworld and the only rule is that they can pick up any ‘litter’ on the road (which are little pieces of Hank’s life) and take them along for the walk, but they can’t look back. However, this gets harder and harder the more Hank finds on the road they traverse. So, this leads Stebbins to ground him once he starts spiraling.

Gilmore Girls: Okay, so the idea has grown from just a concept and thanks to @backyardowl, I now have a bit more of a solid idea of what I want to do with it. Right now, the idea is that Ray, Ginnie and Ray’s child (name pending) end up going back to the small town where Ray grew up after William Garraty dies. They come back for the community of it all, but it’s changed very much and so it’s turning into a KidFic and slice of life surrounding the dealing of grief and homecoming.

Pete and Ray are childhood sweethearts so they reconnect when Ray comes home, especially so when they find out that they’re both single fathers. Their initial connection is what spurs them to make their single dad’s support group that drives the main-ish portion of the narrative.
