StarClan is truly beautiful. Everything glows with a divine twinkling light and the sky shines with the combined might of millions of stars. It really gives you a sense of how vast the universe truly is.

And it's wonderful to be able to see your departed loved ones again!

I've spent a lot of time catching up with old friends, like Stonefur and Ferncloud, as well as getting to know cats I didn't meet in life.

I've become quite close with my maternal grandparents. Willowbreeze in particular always tells the best stories!

But nothing compared to the feeling of finally getting to meet my mother!

Silverstream was actually the cat chosen as my StarClan guide, and while I was a bit nervous to talk to her at first, we've since become incredibly close.

Unfortunately, StarClan has little else in which to recommend it by. After the initial shock and wonder fades, you find yourself staring down an eternity of boredom.

With the daily tasks that occupied us in life rendered meaningless, we have had to come up with more creative ways to entertain ourselves.

Storytelling is the most common form of entertainment, but some cats prefer musical performances.

Moss ball has also become quite popular, and games are occasionally held between the clans.

Most of the important tasks, like sending omens or talking to the living only go to leaders and medicine cats, so most of us have plenty of time to devote to more frivolous activites.

I myself, am quite fond of poetry.

Considering the Erin's hadn't even conceived Mapleshade's character yet at the time Feathertail and Silverstream's deaths were written, I doubt it was the author's original intent.

But from a lore and character prospective, I absolutely believe Mapleshade had a hand in it. Girl had it out for Appledusk, and by extension, Crookedstar's decendents.

I'm not sure how a dark forest cat could have that much control over the living though. She can't directly cause Silverstream's birthing issues.

In her case, I think it's more likely that difficult births run in Willowbreeze's line.

Curses have never been used in warriors, so I doubt Mapleshade can do that through the power of magic.

She probably could lure Sharptooth to the tribe, however. She was shown luring twolegs to Willowbreeze in a similar manner in Crookedstar's Promise so maybe it's possible through ghost powers?

But then again, that's never brought up a second time. Warrior cats lore is incredibly inconsistent.

I'll have you know, it's incredibly rude to make light of someone's death. But in case you were genuinely curious, I shall answer your question...

It wasn't actually a rock...It was a stalactite...

But regardless, it was incredibly painful.

Hitting a large, dense object with the full force of one's weight is nothing to sneeze at.

But it was the subsequent fall that killed me.

I broke several ribs as well as my neck and spine.

Those are the kinds of injuries that even the most skilled of medicine cats can't fix.

There are many things I miss about earth. My family and clanmates are the most obvious answer, of course. But I'm assuming you'd like a more interesting response.

When I was alive I really appreciated the night. I often had a hard time sleeping and I found comfort in looking at the moon.

I liked to imagine that it was the eye of a long dead warrior, cast into the sky by StarClan to watch over the living and provide us with light.

At least, that's how the story Mosspelt told me went.

But after moons of living in eternal night, my do I miss the sun!

And rain too. And the changing of the seasons.

I also really miss that sense of urgency that comes with being alive. A sense of stakes, a feeling that your actions have consequnces.

Not that I miss conflict, but in StarClan, nothing ever happens!

There's no sense of fear or danger. It's so terribly boring!

Not even hunts are exciting in StarClan. The prey doesn't even try to run away! I really miss that rush of addreniline!

You know...I heard Needletail mention something interesting the other day. Apparently, there's a secret fight club, that meets in the farthest corners of StarClan territory.

And they fight tooth and claw despite the risk of dying a second death.

In life I would've been horrified at the idea, but now....

Maybe they're on to something?

You might've noticed that I've been less active lately. I promise that I'm not abandoning this blog, I've just been a bit stressed with finals and stuff.

I'll be starting collage next semester, so there's a bit of stuff I need to iron out.

So for the time being I'm taking a temporary hiatus. I'll be back in about threes weeks, after the semester ends and I come back from my European vacation!

I tend to go through periods where my art Isn't quite as good as the piece I posted.

I've been having a lot of fun running this blog and I appreciate all the asks you've been sending in!

If I haven't gotten to yours yet, I promise I've seen it, I just only have so much free time and coming up with responses can be a little difficult. But I'll get to it. I promise!

Anyway, I was thinking it would be fun to take some dares! You ask me to do something, and I'll write a little story were Feathertail completes your dares!
