Since I write requests and they're all different, usually I don't get stuck in one trope. My personal writings are mostly hurt/comfort or proposal fics though. There are some words/constructions I find myself using a lot such as "you got up before walking to X", "However,..." and many more I just can't think of right now, but I always catch myself when I'm writing them. I don't really think it's a bad thing though.

Gunmax strikes me as the kind of cop laid back enough that he has no problem with having sources that are criminals, or being on good terms with criminals.
