I mentioned yesterday I had a funny story for you. Well, on Thursday when I was talking to Cutie Pie Hamstery she also asked if I wanted any tomatoes or perennials. I do love tomatoes! So I said I would love five tomatoes, thinking that I would be getting the delicious garden grown tomatoes. I get sent a photo of a very tiny tomato plant and suddenly I realise: I have made a terrible mistake. I am absolutely terrible with plants - I managed to kill cat grass. I didn't expect to become a plant parent! After some very quick reading into tomatoes and frantically texting my mum and my plant friends, I felt sufficiently ok to take on two of these tomato plants. So that was how I accidentally and impulsively bought tomatoes. 😂 I still am giggling and Hamdad was NOT impressed. Anyways, I'm waiting on four large, self watering pots from @sheridannurseries as well as some organic potting soil and two tomato cages. I am also planning to grow mint and kale, which I had been debating since the new year so this just kinda kick started me. I'd love any advice or suggestions people have because I am totally a newbie. Great with hamsters, bad with plants. Anyways I have two heritage varieties - brandywine and tappy.
