always a minimum of one cat, usually some of them, sometimes all of them. also, climbing frames for said cats

a speaker for my music

5 things that make me happy

when it snows – which isn’t so often when i live in a town with a beach. but it snows more where i work, which is some consolation

going to concerts, absorbing my self in the music i love being played live and louder than it could at home

learning and knowing as much as i can about everything

travelling and seeing the world and learning about other cultures

spending time with my family and friends

5 things that I’m currently into

i have recently got re-obsessed with bbc merlin. after the show ended there were a few years there where i didn’t really watch it very often because i was getting more into star trek than i had been when i was a kid but then for a few months now i’ve been watching it a LOT and more recently devouring fanfic. i don’t know how much merlin will show up on my blog bc i’m not on tumblr much at the moment but you can certainly expect some fic from the show soon on my ao3 (and other shows. right now it’s all star trek except for one cxg ficlet)

i also recently got into the good place and one day at a time

black panther!!! i’ll have seen it at least 5 times in the cinema by the end of next week. it’s SO GOOD

i mean, in terms of music, i’ve mostly been listening to symphonic metal at the moment. i mean i’ve been into it ages and i’m still into all the other metal and the pop-punk and hard rock etc but i’ve been listening to symphonic metal much more than i’ve been listening to other genres

picking up fiddle again. i got in touch with my old teacher (who happens to be a family friend) and he said i could go back to him for lessons again. maybe now the stress of moving is out the way i’ll actually get around to it

5 things on my to-do list 

writing, due to health reasons i’ve done very little in the past few months but i feel like i might be ready to get back on track. i have a bunch of new fics to write, and also one of my goals for 2018 is to update every published wip and try to finish some…. we’ll see

i just moved house, so i’ve got a load of work to do redecorating and unpacking and getting various tradespeople in and it’s hectic

i really need to get on with deciding on, and buying, a new laptop and a new phone because mine are both on their last legs

i really need to get on with getting my costumes together for destination star trek 2018, and while i’m at it some of my normalwear clothes need replaced

need to get on with researching accommodation and things to do for my holiday in november. i’m going to stuttgart (and a nightwish gig while i’m there) and i can’t wait

MOOD ive actually traveled more than average but like. I don’t enjoy it when I’m actually there, I hate being away from England and my home specifically, I hate being nomadic, I get every kind of travel sickness, and any change to my schedule or differences in time zone makes me ill bc I’m so sensitive biologically like when I went to japan I was sick for three days and it’s the closest I’ve ever come in my life to passing out

I couldn’t go to Australia lol I’m afraid of everything in Ur country

There are people who don't like guitars serenade?? It's a great song and plot point and the isolating the tracks is literally one of the coolest moments in the game
