Asch was truley suffering.

He sat on the couch, the TV playing softly in the background, frozen like he was made of stone. One minute they were watching some stupid comedy movie that Ava forced him to watch, and the next, she just... collapsed. Right onto him.

And now? He couldn’t move. Not at all.

She was snuggled into his chest, her arms wrapped around his jacket, her hair a dark, soft mess against his neck. Her face was buried into the fabric of his shirt, and every few seconds she would let out these soft little breaths that he swore were actually killing him slowly.

He knows that if he moved, she might wake up. And if he woke her up, she might punch him, or worse, she would get all embarrassed and never do this again.

So he was stuck.

Pinned. Trapped. Doomed.

The words echoed in his head except... deep down, he knew that he didn’t even mind this. Not even in the slightest.

Sure, his arm was starting to go numb. Sure, it felt like his heart was trying to claw its way out of his chest. But... Ava trusted him enough to fall asleep like this. On him.

And that was worth every second of this pure, agonizing stillness.

If anyone walked in right now, Asch was done for. Asch internally groaned at the thought of the others walking in and seeing this. He knows that Noi would probably pass out from laughing. Rhys would never, ever let him hear the end of it. And pierce would probably take a picture.

But none of that mattered at this moment. Not when Ava mumbled something in her sleep and hugged him just a little tighter, a sleepy, content sound escaping her lips.

Asch sighed and closed his eyes and let himself bask in yhe moment.
