I decided to take a rest today and I painted. Gonna regret not reading much but a day of creativity is worth it. Made some mistakes but the overall looked great ❤️
Just tried to cartoonize my self 😊 took me forever to get those details. It’s still not perfect but it’s okay. I really had fun drawing and painting this. 🥰
Been practicing with my guoache paints because I find it hard with mixing the colors. It comes out differently than poster paints (which is my preferred medium). However, I still enjoy the learning curve and process.
I hope everyone’s doing okay inspite the pandemic. I usually paint to manage my emotions. I haven’t gone to a psychiatrist, only a councilor in the past because of the fear that I’ll have a hard time getting a job once diagnosed. I’ve been managing it well for the past 4 years. My family became more understanding after I told them what’s been happening to me. So I’m glad I get to talk to them about mental health issues and about my emotions. Sometimes, all it takes is good communication. Even they have become aware with their own personal issues instead of ignoring them like they usually do. We support each other better now and that’s all I can hope for my family. Will continue to post my art even when I’m in med school. Thanks for reading and supporting my art blog. 💕

This is one of my attempted character designs inspired by astrological sign “Leo” and a mix of Scott Pilgrim movies. Leo is a Fire sign in Astrology but i wanted the colors to be cool and fun so I used teal and purple for the flame effects. I specifically love her glowing hair. I have this idea that whenever she uses her powers, her hair and eyes will glow and the ♌️ mark on her left shoulder will light up as well. Her attire is supposed to be punked styled with Denim jacket and halter top bra but yours truly had a little bit trouble with drawing it and i don’t have a texture brush that can be identified as denim. Overall though, I’m actually loving it.
i miss the beach so I imagined I was there again. I used Tifa Lockhart and Marlene Wallace as the girl and woman here.
