Children of The Megaphone, oil on canvas, 42x58cm, 2018 The title of these works is “Children of Megaphone”. They refer to Joseph Goebbels family. He served as a minister of proppaganda for the Nazi German goverment in the Third Reich. People called him a “MEGAPHONE”. In this paintings, I am reflecting not only on the past, but also I am trying to see the other human side of Goebbels. It is hard to see the circumstances and forget the eveil in it, but at the end he was also a father. I am not sure where is the main focus of this painting – whether is is history or children of history. The skull painting is on display today at @goggleworks till 9pm EST. You can see things on the internet, but this experience will never match with the physical eye contact you make with art while standing in front of the artwork. That is why it is so important to go to galleries or visit artists in their studios. I think that this way you learn about surface, process and so on. Of course there will be more mobile and more screen in next ten years that I can imagine, but I think that at the end we all will need something different than a flat surface of our mobile.
