#arrrrrrgh!

its SO PRETTY! And SO FRUSTRATING!

I don't like the way the double leaf bundles are distorting, and i can't seem to convince the frame to stay flat. (It was flat when I started!) The only reason the segments haven't separated is the tape. There's a cord inside the tubes to tension them and hold it all together but that doesn't seem to help nearly as much as i thought it would. It's certainly useful for keeping a gazillion curtain rings from scattering across the room, though!

Took me three days to get this piece strung on (i had to keep adding cord and the frame kept separating) and now i'm wondering if i shouldn't just strike it and see if a different piece without the scalloped edges will work on this poor bastard of a pringles-shaped frame.

I don't want to paint it until I can get those clusters to open up properly, so i'm a little stymied at the moment.

Like, I myself don’t ship it, but holy fuck! I’m not going to start throwing a tantrum like a two year old.

I’ve hated ships before. In one of my past fandoms there was a ship that just about everyone shipped, despite it (in my opinion) making absolutely no fucking sense.

Did I demand that people stop shipping it? No. Did I leave negative reviews on fandom works for this ship? Once. Did my friends and I make fun of this ship in private? Did we crack jokes? Oh yeah! Did I at one point actually write a fic for this ship? (and it wasn’t satire?) Yes.

How could I do all this when shipping is serious business? Well,it was easy. I realized that these people weren’t real, and that anything the fandom did with them would have no effect on me.

So, I set up a dedicated user account just to run AGS in, right? It’s installed properly. I know because I did it many times. Then I went to re-make the subhood template I want to build-to-share. I made sure that it was set to make an empty game. I did it at least ten times. Before creating a neighborhood, all is well, no neighborhoods to choose from in the main menu. But, when I go to create a hood, what does it do each time? Makes a neighborhood with the stealth hoods, so that I end up with the witch lots in it. 

IT DIDN’T DO THAT BEFORE! WHY DOES THIS THING HATE ME???!!! I even tried temporarily renaming all my stealth hood templates in the game’s Program Files instead of just the Freetime one, as the instructions say to do. It STILL creates the Pets/Seasons/Apartment Life/Bon Voyage stealth hoods, but not the Freetime one. (HOW??! ALL THE TEMPLATES ARE RENAMED?!) Well, it sort of creates them, anyway. It goes through the “Creating Magic/Pets/Exotic Destinations/Weather screens, but no characters are generated, so there’s no Family Bin Sims. But there are the two witch lots and attached “suburbs.” Just...just...I don’t know. It didn’t do that when I first created Riverbend, but I think that it might have done so later, which is maybe what messed it up.
