This would not be the first time Krie had made a meal from small bony fishes, and by now she was an expert at the task. Or at least she would be if she was remotely familiar with which local flora could be safely used in cooking. As it was, she was making do without, and the result was....extremely bland meat. At least it was a meal, she reasoned.
Just as she was about to remove the spit of fish from the flames, a sound caused her to look up. She recognized Azlariel’s footsteps before her own concern set in, and so remained where she was. The undine couldn’t help but eye the fat, juicy-looking fishes he carried. And when he offered one to her, she didn’t hesitate to accept. “Thank you! Seriously, thank you. I’m still learning where the good fishing spots are around here. And what species of plant I can use to season with. You, ah, definitely spared me from a very poor meal.”
