Freya considered this. A spar certainly sounded interesting, and he looked like someone that could give her a good run for her money. She proceeded to pace around him, weighing him up as she thought about it, finally looping back around to face him. “Very well. Make it worth my while, I haven’t stayed in an etiquette lesson since I was five.” This perhaps explained a few of her less than princess-like habits.

He didn’t comment on her skipping classes habits which indeed explained like a lot of her behaviours to him. Probably a bit too much even. 

“I assure you, I’m an excellent hand to hand and defense,” he wasn’t boasting. Just stating his skills. “I’m certain I can make it worth a while even a high nobility like you, Your Highness. Shall we proceed to the training courtyard?” He gestured slightly to the garden’s door.

Amoxtli was about to sit down when Mis ran past her legs. “Oh, right! Mis!” She went after the leopard and dragging her by the scruff to the balcony, closing the animal out of the house. Then she walked back to Freya, completely unbothered by her topless state and sat down in front of the red headed woman.

“I’m ready now, sorry about that,” she said. On her back was a segmented, a bit faded in places, picture of a feathery snake eating it’s own tail.

Freya froze in gay panic, her face flushed, watching at the dragoness returned. Her focus snapped back when Amoxtli began to talk. “Um, ready of course yes, um, sure, yeah let me just,” Freya garbled out, furiously staring back into the paint as if her life depended on it.

She took a breath and focused on the picture on her back, marvelling at the artwork. “This is very pretty,” she managed to say, tapping the brush on the edge of the paint dish and then carefully following the lines. 

The painting helped her focus and soon her face was no longer bright red.

The paint sizzled a little as it touched Amoxtli’s skin. The dragon winced a little but otherwise stayed still. It was always the first touch of the paint that was the worst. Plus it was nothing compared to how it felt the first time she had it painted on her. Her skin became a bit pink around the drawing. 

“Thank you, it’s really important to me,” she said slowly. “Let me know when you finish”
