Brigid was often outside, taking whatever work she had with her so she could enjoy the sunshine, even if the sun here wasn’t as warm as the sun back home. Movement didn’t usually distract her, but the glint of something shiny caught her attention for a second, and she looked up from her fine stitching. Her jaw just dropped. “Wait right there!” She called out, excitement bubbling up through her. With a quick wave of her hand, her sewing created a bundle and she turned into a lynx, racing off with it.Â
Twenty minutes later, she was marching back up to her, a smile still playing on her lips, in her armour, carrying her own spear. “Can I practice with you?” She wasn’t really going to take no for an answer, but it was polite to ask.Â
