Cookie is absolutely no stranger to being squished, squashed, smushed and smashed at any given moment. Sometimes on purpose, but most times on accident, and somtimes in the goofiest of ways. Take the top half for example, as our local Doughshi has traveled to the local science lab to visit his Zergy mate to see how he's doing. But a curious Zergling is swift and strong, not to mention that Cookie probably should've noticed that the door swings outwards towards him. As a result, Zergy shoves the door open with little time to react! He looks around outside but when he doesn't see anything of note, he closes the door and returns to work. Plastered to the door is Cookie, dazed and the thickness of a pancake, his head flopping over a bit to show his swirly eyes, his glasses landing on the ground along with one of his sandals, while his left handpaw and footpaw stay normal just outside the door's range. Thankfully, the one with his smartwatch on it.
The next day, our doughy dinosaur visits his best friend Simon, who in the time he's known Cookie has taken up and very much excelled in sculpting. This is one of the common hobbies and talents of most Softies in Aunov, as they an simply sculpt another one of their own into something else if they desire. And it looks like just that as Simon has treated the Doughshi to the shape of a friendly piggy! Cookie takes some time to check himself out and fails to remember Simon's ever-worsening mischievous side, walking back into the room with a giant ACME? hammer poorly hidden behind his back, and in one swift motion, slams it down over the new pudgy pig, squashing him into a pancake on the ground! His glasses and both sandals fall off while his smartwatch thankfully dodges another bullet, as the squishy swine rests helplessly before Simon's footpaws, dizzy once again as the furry Armaron smiles proudly from above, taking pride in playing around with his younger brother.
I was given permission by my boyfriend, LilArrin, to upload this amazing six-panel comic that he drew for me after I came home from New Mexico! He had teased the first panel of Cookie one night and as always, it sends me down a speculative spiral, curious to know what he was up to and what he had planned. A day or two later, he also shows our friend SDragon01 the middle-bottom panel, of him swinging the hammer down. I could tell what was coming but had no idea what else there was to it. Days later, Zergy presents me with this, a silly set of pictures of Cookie getting squashed. Once again, this is not what he draws at all, he has only done this for me, but every time he does it, he gets so much better at it. He had already surprised me with a really fun squishy drawing at the start of the year, so to do a bunch like this was so very appreciated, and knowing he does this at all and for me makes me extremely grateful. It makes them all so very special to me with the work and effort (and challenge) that goes into each one. I love him that much more for it all.
Thank you once again, Zergy! I have a smile on my face each time this shows up as my computer wallpaper! Now, why is Cookie a pig in the second half? You might just need to wait a bit longer to find out~
