I am once again explaining the elbow:
1) draw torso and shoulder points
2) draw hand wherever you want, then connect the hand to the shoulder
3) find roughly the middle. Does not have to be percise but get it as close as possible. Then draw a line
4) elbow goes on the line where you want the arm to connect. Draw fore arm and bicep line
5) draw arm
This probably has been asked before millions of times, but do you have any tips on hands and arms?
Yus!!!! My favorite! ARMS! Hands!!Ā
First, may I interest you in Sycra YasināsĀ āHow to Draw the Forearmā and other youtube tutorials like it:Ā https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=894PGlFUr6E
Sycra Yasin is a literal godsend to this earth and I love him to death. If you want comprehensive muscle tutorials, THIS GUY is YOUR GUY.Ā
Second, let me introduce you to George Bridgman:
Studying this kind of structural anatomy is super helpful for learning and simplifying any kind of figure.Ā
Iāve compiled some hand/arm tutorials from both myself and mod goji for some further study:
As for posing the arm with the body, I like to use this simplified form of the arm to create my sketch poses so I know what the overall will look like.Ā
Itās not a direct science, and it is a lot of muscle memory. Knowing how long the arms should be in conjunction with the torso is still a struggle for me. When in doubt, do the pose yourself! See how you look in a mirror :)Ā
-Mod Future (ko-fi)
Sorry this took awhile but hereās my semi realistic arms and legs .
hereās some tips and doodles that can maybe help? I donāt really know how to do a tutorial aa! From what I remember, I learned a lot about drawing arms by taking pictures of myself for my own reference. That way you also get just the right pose you want! Also looking for artists for inspiration is good too, I know that a chunk of people stylize their art so it wonāt be exactly realistic, but itās good to see how others do it too! I like to use my friends as quick references too, when Iām in school and I need a reference for an arm Iāll ask a friend nearby to move their arm in that pose just for a couple seconds so I can get a mental imagine. It works if you canāt use your phone or other things. Iāve ramble too long so Iāll stop now, I hope these tips help you with some arms! @jamersjam

QUICK ARM TUTORIAL
I am no expert but I found this weird method to draw arms. FISH EAT FISH
You need the basic body first, obviously. Then draw circles to plan out how arm goes
The arms should be around torso length, maybe a little longer. So sexy. Now have fish begin eating dots on top.
I the final step is just fish eat fish, not too much detail here but figure helpful.
As you see when fish eat fish, you get nice arms because arms come to an almost point. If this helped or you want others to see, Please reblog. Thank you. This is my first tutorial.Ā
