alicja, kondraki’s twin, had registered herself on ancestry.com (or whatever dna website) around 2014, 2015? fast forward to 2020, on gordon freeman’s birthday, he gets a dna test kit from tommy!

the two exchange emails, get on calls, etc. eventually gordon’s like “so uhh.. about my dad?”, and the conversation kinda goes like this:

gordon: hey, it’s been wonderful getting to know you, but was wondering if you know my dad? like how he’s been recently? or at least what he’s like?

alicja, about 2 week later: *sends a coded, 3,000 word long email filled with food recipes and diy videos*

gordon:

basically, the email said “can’t talk about this over emails, meet me in real life. don’t bring any normal friends.”

which scared the FUCK out of gordon. luckily for him, none of his friends are normal, and definitely can and has killed people. so, after a little explaining and packing, the science team have funky road trip hyjinks!

it’s around a week- two week trip? longer than it should have been, since they’re not very good at this.

meanwhile, over on alicja’s side, she is very amused.

the entire time she has just. decided not to tell kondraki that “hey you have another kid that I’ve been talking with for a month” because she’s just Like That.

so, the next day she drives over to the clightdraki mcmansion (she’s the landlord), and asks to see kondraki.

THAT conversation goes like this:

kondraki: whatttt is this about, al?

alicja: oh, you know, my nephew that you never told me about.

kondraki: wh

alicja: gordon? 28, eldritch partner, your firstborn?

kondraki: who. the fuck are you talking about.
