“Klimt Format” Photography - aka 6x6 format
My paintings and drawings are square, a format I “inherited” from Gustav Klimt and artists of the Vienna Secession. Why am I not just as obsessed with taking square photographs? I now am. Step One: purchase a vintage 6x6 medium format camera. I have. The infrared landscape photos you see here were cropped from 16x9 originals. Soon, there won’t be any cropping. I’ll be a square-shooting fella, thanks to my 1940s Argoflex E camera.
