Hey so I sometimes see you post about "UHC" and I don't know what that is. I recognize some of the youtuber names on posts and would be interested in checking it out. Could you tell me what it is and/or point me to a channel where i can watch it? thanks :3
UHC stands for Ultra Hardcore. It is a Minecraft gamemode not unlike Survival Games (i.e. everybody kills each other), however, the map is naturally generated and there are no premade items, so all players must gather and mine their own resources. The main trait of UHC is that there is no natural health regen, so golden apples and potions are the only methods of healing.
The UHC series I talk about is Mindcrack UHC, which is currently in its 20th season. Most seasons have their own defining twists such as teams of varying sizes, lone wolves, Mumble plugin (everything you say can be heard by those nearby in game), shrinking world borders, Ender Dragon fights, etc. and memorable moments, though I won’t spoil those for you.
Since there are generally a lot of perspectives to watch, I’ll just point you towards some of my favorites/ones that i think cover a season well, and if you like those you can search more up.
Nebris UHC 17 (Free for All)
Pause UHC 14Â (Teams of Two, Mumble)
MC (bonus: Vechs) UHC 19 (Two Scattered Teams of 10, Mumble)
Pause UHC 10 (Teams of Three)
Etho or Bdoubleo UHC 11 (Free for All)
Rob UHC 13 (Teams of Four)
BTC UHC 12 (Teams of Two and… well, you’ll see. it’s kind of a fluke season)
Watching multiple perspectives of a season is one of the best parts of UHC, so don’t limit yourself– Zisteau makes a pretty good additional perspective for UHC 14, for instance, and it’s hard to go wrong on UHC 11 perspectives. Enjoy!
