so like apparently many people donât know about Cub and Scarâs alien
Basically after Convex escaped Season 5 with their spaceship they brought this guy in a cage but .
For some reason the spaceship crashed in S6 (probably Jarvisâ fault) and they lost all their memories of the Vex. The alien was already gone by that time they regained their memories when they found the original vex masks.
Apparently Scar found the alien almost immediately, which is interesting because he didnât mention it to Cub, his business partner for the past two seasons but he showed it to Doc⊠much to think about.
These are (from what we could find) the only mentions that didnt get lost to time of where the plotline for this creature was supposed to be going.
Itâs also important to note that Scar fed both raw Beef and Etho to the alien, as well as alluding to Bdubs, Beef, Etho and Doc when he mentioned that Some Things had gone missing in the jungle, all of this while talking to Doc himself. Thatâs all the nHo, who lived in a jungle, we have come full circle LMAO.
Maybe Scar wanted to scare Doc for the sake of the old Convex vs nHo rivalry,, who knows! As if eating them in S5 wasnât enough

âThere it is!â Grian hisses, pointing out from his hiding space towards the giant containment cell holding his time machine. âLook!â
Ren cranes his neck over the crate heâs hiding behind. âOkay, I see it. Whatâs the plan, G?â
âWeâre gonna break into that cell and fly it outta here.âÂ
âI feel like we need something more specific than tha-,â starts Impulse nervously.
But Grian has already darted out from his hiding spot and is rushing towards the cell. Panicked, his companions follow.Â
Grian is in such a hurry that he doesnât notice his ankle breaking the tripwire string until his ears pick up the familiar hissing sound of TNT.
His mouth opens but the warning doesnât come out in time.Â
  BOOM!
Grian is sent flying into the containment cell wall by the explosion and falls to the ground. Mostly uninjured, he pushes himself into a sitting position, but a second explosion slightly further down the corridor shakes the ground so violently that he pitches sideways.Â
Opposite him, Impulse scrambles to his feet and takes off running down the hallway, flinching as another explosion sounds somewhere to his right. He knows Ren and Grian will be right behind him. After all, who in their right mind wouldnât run away from the terrifying explosions?
Grian takes out his pickaxe and slams it into the glass wall, forcing himself to tune out the explosions. He can tell his friends are no longer behind him but he doesnât care. Heâs finally here. All that separates him from his goal is a wall of glass. Heâs so close to the end.Â
But just as he breaks through, he feels a sharp pain in his head and his world goes black.
âŠ
Breathing heavily, Impulse activates half a stack of rockets in seconds, propelling him away from Area 77 and towards the safety of the hippie commune. His landing is nowhere near graceful and his ankle rolls as soon as he hits the ground, but the dull ache coming from his foot is nothing compared to the adrenaline and terror coursing through him. He lies back on the ground in the middle of the commune, feeling his ankle throb, and just lets himself slowly calm down. His heartrate very slowly descends back to normal.Â
After what feels like hours, he hears a noise that causes him to sit bolt upright in a panic. He lets out a breath of relief as he spots Ren stumbling into the commune, dazed and looking very much worse for wear.Â
Impulse forces himself to his feet and half-limps over to meet Ren. âDude, that was crazy! Are you okay?â
As he gets closer, Impulse realises with a jerk that Renâs chin and neck are burnt, though thankfully not very badly. âOh geezâŠ! Ren, talk to me! Tell me youâre okay!â
Renâs numb gaze stares into nothing as he very slowly lifts his head to face Impulse. âTh-The fire,â he rasps.Â
Impulse quickly reaches out as Ren sags forward, taking his friend into his arms. He helps Ren towards the nearest trailer â which happens to be Grianâs â and lies him down on the sofa.Â
As Impulse is getting some water from the sink, Ren reaches up with shaky hands and undoes the buttons on his shirt, revealing his bare chest and stomach. He presses his hand against the stinging area in his midriff. His breath catches in his throat as he feels something hard and mildly sharp sticking out of his skin.
When Impulse returns, he stares in horror at the sizeable shard of glass embedded in Renâs midriff.Â
âOh, no⊠nonononono!â Impulse hurriedly sets the bucket of water down and approaches Ren, unsure of how to proceed. âWh-What do I do, Ren?!â
  âT-Take it out,â croaks Ren.Â
âBut if I remove it, you might bleed out!â
Ren nods weakly. âI know. I set m-my spawn before we l-left so Iâll be fine.â
Even though he knows Ren will just respawn if he dies, a large part of Impulse still wants to save his friend from death. He himself has bled out from an untreated injury before and he knows how painful it is. Thereâs no way he wants Ren to have to go through the same thing if he can avoid it.Â
At his friendâs conflicted expression, Ren places his trembling hand on Impulseâs wrist. âI t-trust you, Impulse.â
Impulse takes a deep breath. âO-Okay. Here we go.â
âŠ
Grian opens his eyes and finds himself looking at a grey, metallic ceiling. As he sits up, he realises heâs lying on a hard bed in a tiny cell with a glass front. Immediately, he knows what must have happened.Â
  âHi, Grian,â comes a voice.Â
He scowls as he spots a familiar person standing outside the cell, looking in at him. âLet me out, Scar. NOW.â
âIâm sorry but I canât do that.â Scarâs voice is steady. If he feels any kind of regret or sadness at the situation, Grian canât hear it in his voice. âYou were caught trespassing, causing damage to a government facility, and trying to steal government property.â
âI was causing damage?!â Grian snaps. âYou blew up part of your own compound!â
âThe damage we caused was minimal. Iâm referring to you breaking into the facility AND into one of the containment cells.â
âYeah, to get back the time machine that you stole from me!â
Scar shakes his head immediately. âWrong, Grian. We didnât steal anything from you. That thing was sitting outside in the open and Doc and I decided we didnât want it anywhere near Hermitville, in case it was dangerous. And you know what? In the wrong hands, it IS dangerous.â
Grian narrows his eyes. âIf youâre implying that mine are the wrong hands, youâre completely wrong. I built it, Scar. Nobody knows the inner workings better than me. Thereâs no safer hands than mine.â
After a moment, Scar sighs quietly. âGrian, I consider you a close friend. But this is your first season in Hermitcraft and youâve already caused a civil war, frenzied the whole server to gather and present you with your own heads, started a game of tag that almost ripped apart several friendships, and now built a dangerous time machine. Donât you think enough is enough? Is it not time to go back to your base and spend a few months just relaxing and working on your projects?â
Grianâs steely resolve fails for the first time as he finds himself considering Scarâs words. As much as he loves causing shenanigans, thereâs something to be said for retreating to his own corner of the world and just living in peace for a while. Thereâs a reason why the people inhabiting this world are called âhermitsâ. For all their love for each other and the collabs they do, theyâre first and foremost loners, are they not?Â
But then his mind returns to the present and what just happened an hour ago.Â
âNo, Scar,â he snaps. âI want my time machine back.âÂ
Scar sadly drops his gaze. âI really wish you werenât so stubborn. Enjoy sitting in there by yourself, then. And donât think of calling anyone for help; we tweaked your communicator so you can only see messages, not send them.â
âWhy?â Grian demands. âWhy not take it off me or disable it completely?â
âWeâre not animals here, Grian, believe it or not. And besides, we thought you might like to see when someone dies. Seems like one of your hippie friends was hurt in the escape so you might get a death message any time now.â
Grianâs eyes widen as he watches Scar walk away. Heâs been so caught up in his own situation that he completely forgot about his friends. Scar would have mentioned if they had Impulse and Ren locked up here too, so clearly they escaped. But one of them is hurt⊠and itâs all Grianâs fault.Â
If only he had turned back. If only he had listened to their warnings. If only he hadnât put his own selfish desire to get his stupid time machine back above the wellbeing of his friends. Now heâs stuck here in a prison cell for goodness knows how long, separated from everyone he cares about, and one of his friends is out there somewhere, dying. And itâs all his fault.Â
Grian curls up in a ball on the bed and cries.
