#archive reader

Remember, AO3 has no official app, and the fics on Ao3 are made for free. The developer is attempting to profit off other people's fic.

I seriously encourage fanfic writers, whether their work is locked to members only or not, to ask for their work to be excluded from the app.

Note if you have locked your works they won't be visible to users on the app unless they log in with an AO3 account (Please don't give site credentials to dodgy third party apps!!! It's insecure!)

If they do log in, however, they can see locked fics.

You can email the developer at [email protected] with the email subject "Please remove my content from archive reader"

State in the message "Please remove access to all works associated with the username [Insert your username] from the ArchiveReader app. I do not give permission for my work to be desseminated or used by any third party."

They should get back to you with any further steps required. It was so long ago that I did it that I can't recall exactly what they need. I have vague memories of a screenshot of you logged into the account, to prove you own it, but I could be wrong.

yes, +1$/month can be too much for a disabled person, especially those not from the US.

not to mention the fact that this wasn't "properly" announced until after the subscription model was implemented and several users (some of them dyslexic) gave a ★☆☆☆☆, and by proper announcement I mean the app sent me a notification with a ^^ at the end. and don't even get me started on the passive-aggressive don't like don't use bs.

also correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this against the Ao3 ToS?
