locate the ballistas on your map

wait until the dragon perches itself on one of those other open areas

run to the ballista and aim it at the dragon

proceed to shoot at the dragon with the ballista while your reinforcements help up close

you need to make sure you have high enough skill to be able to repair the ballista should it jam and it’ll jam like three time before you can’t fix it anymore

but that’s literally all we did

i mean it’s a good idea to have morrigan with cone of cold or something stronger (if you bring her) because that’ll freeze the dragon for a very short period of time giving you a bit of a head when you’re trying to run to the ballista

but chances are the dragon will be too far away to direct the blasts at you, so you’re free to stay where you are and just fire at the dragon

even if it moves position you can move the ballista accordingly and continue fire

get the health low enough to either finish off with the ballista or [in my case] if it conveniently and permanently jams then make sure you’re ready to run at it and finish that bitch off
