All of Me.
Dear God...as I'm growing in my understanding of humility, I'm learning that humility is really about letting go of the character traits that stand in the way of my relationship with you...giving You all of the me that is separate from You, the good and the bad, so that You will constantly build me in Your image. This means that humility is not getting down on my hands and knees out of shame or embarrassment, but rather handing over my flaws and then being willing to let Your light shine through me. I used to think humility was about dampening my enthusiasm and not doing anything that would draw attention from others. While it's important to avoid prideful behaviors, I now see I am called to serve as a witness to Your love and grace, which often leads to accepting and expressing Your Spirit with love and exuberance. I say all of this because that means Arca Capsa is not just a place for me to give away my problems or struggles. It's a place for me to give away everything, to trust You with all of me and my life. So today, I give you my home, my love and the success I've had with remaining abstinent and respectful towards others in the last 24 hours. I haven't been perfect, but I have made progress...but really it's You who has done the real work. I'm also giving you the presentation I'm working on for next week's job interview. My progress is slow, and I have a lot of resistance to doing the work, but I trust that if I keep showing up and doing it little by little, You will make sure the outcome is as You would have it be. Thank you for Your love and grace and truth. In Jesus's good name I pray. Amen.
