What is the most beautiful world you've played on?
Feed your dashboard by answering my question, blogger.
I love FLO, I love Genshin, I've played many MMOs... But the beauty of The Exiled Realm of Arborea (TERA) immediately came to mind.
Dnd Cosmology: Arborea
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Planar Portal Color: Sapphire Blue
Arborea is a plane of extremes stupendously craggy mountains unbelievably deep gorges forest of monstrously huge trees and vast stretches of wheat fields orchards and arbors. Wild hearted nature spirits dwell in every glade and stream brooking no infringement. Travelers must tread lightly.
The air of Arborea seems charged with excitement. Sudden squalls brew up out of nowhere beating the tree lined paths with heavy winds. The storms pass within minutes and leave behind warm arcs of sunlight filtering through the forest canopy. Music always seems to be playing in the distance sometimes it originates from groups of elf musicians but as often the faint tune is merely the wind curling through the boles of the great trees.
Layers of Arborea:
Arvandor: Towering trees colorful wildflowers abundant grain and delicious fruit create a lush environment.
Aquallor: An eternal ocean fed by the by the River Oceanus is home to teeming sea life and mighty storms.
Mithardir: A desert of white sand is abandoned by whatever powers once lived there.
Arborea Adventure Ideas: Arborea is a larger-than-life place of violent moods and deep affections of whim backed by steel and of passions that blaze brightly until they burn out. Its good-natured inhabitants are dedicated to fighting evil, but their reckless emotions sometimes break free with devastating consequences. Rage is as common and as honored as joy in Arborea.
An adventure in Arborea can be an opportunity for characters to discover who they are when masks fall away and the honesty of unfettered emotion is revealed. The inhabitants of the are accustomed to this emotional honesty. Lifelong friends might share a laugh over food and wine cross blades over a mutual lover and write songs celebrating each other's courage and integrity all in a single evening. For those who aren't accustomed to this candor though it can lead to hurt feelings and lingering resentment.
Creatures that visit Arborea and then leave sometimes experience a desperate desire to return a yearning so intense that it can interefere with day-to-day life.
What secrets lie buried in the sands of Mithardir? An expedition might involve investigating whatever gods or Celestials once inhabited the silver desert or find some knowledge they possessed.

Bestiary of Arborea
Living in the world beneath the Canopy is full of danger and competition. The Fauna that call this place home have made their own light to see, where the sun has no purchase.
The levels of The Forest are as follows
The Canopy
The Tangle
Undergrowth
Twilit boughs
The Floor
Apex Predators:
The Floor       Whalesong Behemoth:
Capable of infrasonic pulses that disorient and paralyze prey for consumption. These walking mountains are solitary beasts, and are ever-roaming. Due to their massive size and method of attack, these creatures do not need to be near one another to communicate. Some have theorized that there may even be channels in the Trees around them that allow for their songs to carry even farther. Others feel that any Trees that are knocked over may have effected the path of the songs.
The skies above the Barrens   Thunderbird:
Barren predator that is the bane of any Hurgem herder. A bird that is so massive that a flap of its wings sounds the thunder. While easy to spot due to their massive size, they are still nearly impossible to avoid once they have spotted food. Relentless hunting and immense strength have led many a lost Hurgem. These Apex’s of the skies are capable of harassing even small towns of people. Leading to many of these outer settlements to leave sacrifices out in attempts to appease the mighty terrors. Or on altars.
 The Canopy      Ambrosia buzzers:
Build forts through some of the lower levels. Will grow with the Colonies of Orangutans. Capable of producing Psychedelic honey. Should a colony be too close to a Centarma the honey produced will cause them to become rabid and hostile to all. Should their caretakers consume any they will go berserk and destroy all things around it before succumbing to the brainrot itself.
 The Tangle      Orcish Orangutans:
Tribes of large Orange almost men, which prefer to live in isolation. While not Outwardly aggressive, they are immensely territorial. And will attack ANY who try and move through their towns. Many of these settlements are founded around the hives of “Ambrosia buzzers.” Using them as a source of food and security, in return for the same for the “Ambrosia buzzers.” Able to use slings, and bark armor. Can be up to 12 feet tall and weigh around 600lbs or more. Typically live in families of 10 or more and communities of around 5 families.
 The Undergrowth     The Centarma:
A large spotted bell that has many tendrils that flow out from under its bulb. These will produce a meaty fruit that it’s drones will feed on. These reptilian drones will speed through The Tangle and supply their host with any and all prey they capture. These Tree Hoppers are large and have incredibly strong jaws. To be caught is almost certain death. Not only will they grab and not let go. Any part that is caught will go with them to the host. Many unwary Canopians have lost and arm or leg to a Tree Hopper that was quicker than they were expecting.
The Twilit Boughs      The Silent Sun:
These floating deaths are the main source of light on this level above The Floor. While description might fool you into thinking them harmless. Being as they seem to be no more than thin sacks of light with waving filaments below, be wary. For even the slightest brush can cause convulsions and pain unimaginable. There are many sizes of such specimens, but given the danger posed by contact. It is not known whether they are the same beast or some kind of close relative. These wretched things hunt by floating throughout the Boughs and exploding with light whenever they catch their next unlucky victim. Having had the misfortune of losing a member to these abominations will allow you to see they are no more than a sheet of skin, hovering far above any reproach from it’s victims.
     Lizards:
Those that stay near the Shallows have forms that are slight and sluggish, taking advantage of the sunlight and the many Barren rodents unused to the dark.
The further away from the light of day, the stranger the forms become. Not only do these reptiles Thrive in the warm and damp of the underbrush. They grow to enormous sizes. Becoming near in size to the beasts of burden that the Barrenites use, reptiles are quick and sturdy. Blasting through the undergrowth and snatching *bugs* out of the air.
 Crawler:
Little pesks that will harass any settlements for food or fun. Most Crawlers are swatted on sight. So as to prevent them from seeing the settlement as easy pickings.
My World Building project. Hopefully it will get more progress done if it’s public
The world is covered in Trees. There are no oceans, for the depths of this world are populated by enormous foliage. Any wildlife that inhabits these crevasses are either tiny and nimble, or huge and imposing. For when you are traversing the vast Floor of this planet, you must be ever vigilant of your surroundings. Not only are there enormous fauna, but even the flora can be a danger. For in the depths, there is little light. And competition for nutrients if fierce. Man has tried many times to brave the Floor. But, only the hardiest, or most foolish, have made their homes where the light cannot reach.
The air is thick with water, and rich in oxygen. And although there are no immense bodies of water, there are rivers to provide for those brave enough to try and drink. Some Trees have even developed a mechanism through which to spray water from their tops. Allowing for the transfer of nutrients from the Floor. These sporadic sprays have caused the occasional cloud of mist to roll through the Barrens. Allowing for wildlife from the Floor to venture out across the Barrens and menace those along its borders. (see Bestiary of Arborea)
Life away from the Trees is barren and open. (Should one ask the Canopians) With much less coverage, and sparse arborage, Barrens beasts are much stockier. The “Barrenites” have harnessed the much more tame and docile of these to run their massive farms.  These feed on Grass rather than the bush or moss of the Forest.  Being out in the open, they have no need to produce their own lights. Â
While The Floor continues to elude the reach of most, the many Canopy Cities have grown prosperous. Those who choose life among The Trees are very agile and even more wary. For any misstep can lead to certain doom. While those who prefer to live on the Barrens have their need for carts and beasts of burden. The graceful “Canopians” can move all they need on their own.
Many a Raven and Dove Line have been coordinated for communication. Making both birds very prized and sought after. While some Barrenites are settled enough to be granted access to these precious companions, most are too nomadic. (At least as far as the Canopians are aware.) While attempts at connecting Barren cities have been made, traversing around The Forest have been nigh on impossible. The few sporadic routes through the “Middling” are dangerous to hardened adventurers. Let alone a caravan of goods to some city that may or may not exist. Â
Those in the Shallows have tried many times to cultivate/trim down the edges of The Forest. But have been faced with overwhelming resistance every time. Whether it be by a local Canopy City, or just by the resident wildlife. Some few have managed to gather some seeds from the taller populations of The Forest. Managing to grow some smaller copses away from the main body. To be used in their industry. While these trees can grow to be quite large, they also take many decades to grow to their maturity. And were seen as wastes of time and money, until their Grandchildren saw the fruits of their labor. While growing together, the Trees were hard to differentiate. (Especially to any Barrenite) But when these Trees grew, there was much to celebrate. For not only did they have an enormous amount of lumber that could be gathered, but great amounts of fruit as well. Ones once only found in Canopy Cities. This caused many families to try and grab some exotic Trees to use in trade. (And in some cases, “recreation”)
Many such things caused animosity between the Canopy Cities and the Shallow’s Edge towns. For while the Edge towns were not directly profiting from these extant copses. The trade between them slowed and started to fade. Many Canopians wished to cut off trade to them altogether. But those who had traded with them, had become used to the metal they could get from trading with those who lived nearer the stone. And wished to keep trade open so as to maintain their usefulness to both cultures. Many Cities were split on which side would prove more advantageous to keeping their advantage in trade deals with the Barrenites. Those other families who did manage to grab some Trees were set upon, not only by the danger of The Forest. But, by those who would keep their monopoly on Tree growth. Â
The biggest obstacle to either side, however, is the Forest itself. While the Canopians have claim to have mastered their parts of the Forest canopy. They are harangued by those whose home has always been, the Forest. Whether it be from smaller apes, or ravenous rodents, or even the innumerous birds that would assail any who do not abide by the laws of Nature. The biggest threat to any, are the true Kings of the Forest. Those Leviathans that roam its depths, causing many a Shaking. And the occasional felling of the Trees around them. Â
The creatures that hang around the Middling, are especially annoying to traders and messengers, who wish to travel these sparse paths. For they do not spend enough time in the depths to need full luminescence. But are still pitch and very stealthy. And to those who do not live near these paths long, it can be death for any who do not know what to look out for. Â
Life beneath the Canopy is dark and deadly. But for those of strong enough constitution, or weak enough mind, it can be beautiful. Having no natural light to navigate through the winding trunks and voluminous vines, many creatures, and not a few plants, have created their own. The many hues of the Undergrowth can captivate the uninitiated, and the unaware. These dazzling lightshows serve many purposes. For some it is to show how virile they are, and for others how deadly. Many of the Flora have taken advantage of this to lure prospective predators towards their snare. Be it mimicry of its neighboring plants, or even of the predators themselves. One must be ever vigilant should one risk traveling the Undergrowth’s perilous pathways. Â
