EDIACARAN FAUNA SCULPTURES
A series of sculptures celebrating three enigmatic organisms of the Ediacaran Period, thought to be some of Earth’s earliest macroscopic animals. Not meant to be taken as an accurate paleontological render! from L to R: Dickinsona, Charnia, Kimberella.
SciTech Chronicles. . . . . . . . .April 3rd, 2026
Vol VI Issue 2 Who Said this? People will come to love their oppression, to adore the technologies that undo their capacities to think. Toda
A sculpted rendition of Dickinsona, an enigmatic organism who lived in the Ediacaran period. It is the oldest undisputed animal fossil (~558 Ma) and probably lived in warm, shallow marine environments where it fed on microbial mats.
This will be painted & displayed alongside three other Ediacaran marvels at my upcoming art show!
⚠️ Please note that this is not meant to be depicted as an accurate paleontological render, as some details may be adjusted or simplified to accommodate the FDM 3D printing process.
new transfem name idea if ur a nerd for the Ediacaran Period; Cloudina, after this gal right here

Thoughts on the cambrian explosion? Solid A tier for me, maybe low S tier
Mmmmm, I do love Anomalocaris I cannot live they are one of my favs. However, I gotta say, low A, high B tier for me- SOLELY because, I mean, *c'mon*-
Ediacaran biota was right there, and yet my boy Cambrian gets all the street credit? The household recognition? C'monnn, just because the Cambrian had species that preserve in fossil better and iNcReAsEd BiOdIVeRsItY like nOtHiNg BeFoRe pffffffft pleasee-
In all seriousness tho I. Do really fucking love the Cambrian. Even if my heart's with the Ediacaran biota and then. Jumps randomly to the Permian for some fucking reason (it's the gorgonopsids, because of course it is, they're so fucking cool they're like lil reptile-esque-almost-ish pittbulls I LOVE them-), the Cambrian did have some way cool body plans while life was still figuring out the whole complexity thing.
Like look at this lil guy!!!
He looks so polite!!! Lil Hallucigenia!
Unrelated bUT I JUST FOUND AN ANOMALOCARIS CROCHET PATTERN-
Okay if i disappear forever ya'll know what I'm up to-
