For Fossil Friday, here are all four artworks I've created for The Etches Collection: "The Sea Rex", "Deep Blue Buffet", "The Twisted Feast", and "Consuming the Fallen".

A crop from THE EXECUTIONER'S MEAL, one of 49 artworks I painted for THE SECRET LIVES OF DINOSAURS, written by Dr Dean Lomax. It features a Nothosaurus giganteus taking off the head of a Tanystropheus hydroides - yes, there is fossil evidence for this behaviour!

It hasn't been show in the UK yet, so I haven't seen it.

Here are some crops from "Consuming the Fallen," commissioned by The Etches Collection. It features over 50 fossil species from the museum and the Late Jurassic Kimmeridge Clay.

Here is "Consuming the Fallen," commissioned by The Etches Collection. It features over 50 different species of marine reptiles; lobe-fin, ray-fin, cartilaginous, and agnathid fishes; echinoderms, crustaceans, isopods, ammonites, belemnites, teuthoids, nautiloids, gastropods, brachiopods, bivalves, annelids, bryozoans, cnidaria, and microbial mats. There are also coprolites and burrows.

Had a brilliant time with my family at the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival last weekend. So much to see and do! Also pleased (relieved!) to have had a full crowd at my talk on the Sunday afternoon. 😃

It is exciting to see snippets of Surviving Earth coming out from Impossible Pictures (see: https://www.instagram.com/picturesimpossible/). One of the clips released features Arctodus, the "short faced bear", here is my official design sheet, which was used by the production team.

I'm finally able to show my new cover artwork for the 10th anniversary 4th edition of DINOSAURS, HOW THEY LIVED AND EVOLVED, by Darren Naish and Paul Barrett (published by the Natural History Museum, London). The sauropod is the wonderful Amargasaurus. It isn't available yet, but it will be soon!
