My 25 years of palaeoart chronology…
In 2022 I worked with McIlroy et al on a new reconstruction of Haootia (Stauroza), from the Late Ediacaran (550 Ma). The Haootia fossils from Newfoundland, Canada, have the oldest known evidence for animal muscle tissue.

Hi! Thanks so much for the ask 💕 Welp I am not that well versed with paleontology I'm afraid so I''ll try to do my best hehe. I would say that one of my favourite periods was Ediacara
Ediacara spans from c. 635–538.8 Mya. And it was basically mostly sesile animals preceeding the Cambrian explosion! And these could be the earliest fossils that we have of multicellalur lifeforms that we know off.
I don't really know what so may more than they are still quite mysterious and I find them quite neat
