its another oc's birthday~! this is Aria Lumineth, my blood elf paladin from WoW, taking a family picture with her adoptive Arakkoa fathers Rakkam and Irrix! She may have lost her birth parents in the battle for the Frozen Throne, but that didn't stop her from finding a new family on Outland! World of Warcraft commission! This is Kle'kki, an Arakkoa and I had such a fun time drawing her! I have never drawn a birdlike character before so I did struggle a bit but I think she turned out so good. I hope you all like my interpretation of an Arakkoa. I really love drawing WoW characters even tho I don't play it.
i want to make a longer post about the similarities between the arakkoa in WoW and the shrykes in The Edge Chronicles books with pictures, but i gotta say that while TEC technically predates the introduction of arakkoa in The Burning Crusade expansion, the early arakkoa are more skeksis-ish, but their architecture is similar (more on that later). the Warlords of Draenor expac era "high" arakkoa though...now Those were definitely inspired by the shrykes
