Hi! Thank you ^^ I did release the entire prologue, at least. And then the plot was simply planned around the two main characters meeting and what would come of that.

Thank you so much! I suppose I have always been really into ancient fauna, and the paleontological museum located nearby only fuelled the fire. Also, my father is a historian by second generation, and he focuses very heavily on the history of pre-colonial America and the medieval Middle East. You could say I soaked it up from him. And then, I suppose, Hayao Miyazaki's films, his original works? But I feel they simply cannot fail to inspire anyone.

What I particularly enjoyed was studying historical civilisations, because their worldview and daily life are shaped by the environments in which they exist. There are so many interconnected little details that depend on geography, climate… For example, the large amount of brick in Indian architecture is due to the fact that they had a great many trees for firing kilns, and so on. This is something you cannot invent from scratch, at least not for me.
