But like, what are your thoughts on Flame's and Lomedy's disconnection to the drought plot going on in Unstable? Well, mostly Flame honestly, cause Lomedy has his whole dying friends thing going on.

But, I've noticed that Flame, compared to the other protagonist seems to have a stable source of resources coming for him. Like, he always somehow gets a Steak Farm and an XP Farm and he has enough food for breeding his wolves. The only time I've even seen him with a lack of resource was when Law chased him, but other then that? He's well off.

Now, I mentioned Lomedy, because if Flame has enough meat for his dogs, assumedly, he has a lot of food. Which, considering how they acquired that steak recently (stealing cows from Capital City), is kinda funny knowing that Lomedy was in on it and then a couple episodes later was talking about how Parrot was letting his people starve. Lomedy quite literally, did not care about the drought, until his friends died. But before that? He did not seem to think about the drought at all. And as of now, Flame is heavily distancing himself from the Parrot and Saparata plot.

It's just, interesting, to see how disconnected these guys are from the drought. And I kinda wanna see your thoughts about it?

If this seems like a Lomedy hate post, god no, it's not, if I hate a character I would not even bother remembering their scenes.

HI HELLO OK I'll try to explain my answer I hope it makes sense 😭

I think that realistically, it could've been a small plot hole because most of the reasons I can think of him basically being HELLA rich is in headcannon? but I also have some thoughts on their disconnection.

From my view it links up to their characters in a way. Flame isn't really one to just openly share his materials. He will/might if there is a need for it but he just kind of hoards? I severely think that this is so due to his past in the Mafia (WHICH IM SCREAMING ABT CUS WE DONT GET HIS MAFIA POV) as well early toxic civ the main Imperialfire rivalry.

I do think that Torchflower as a duo DEFINITELY highlighted this. In Law Arc, it was almost visible the tension between Lomedy and Flame and a large part of that I think linked to gear and/or status. I think that to a certain level, Lomedy definitely had feelings for the fact that Flame ALWAYS had something and that he was NEVER poor.

I think that having Lomedy, who has lost his friends, home, and genuinely just so much being a duo with Flame who has ALSO lost but has that high status of being the stronger is a very good point for this question.

I'm getting a little confusing and off topic so lemme just get straight to my point.

I never really thought about how Flame has so much gear and just kinda shoves it under the rug in a genuine material drought. I wouldn't be surprised if this is brought up in Unstable and Flame does help distribute food.

I think that maybe before he had the whole "why is this my issue I just need to keep Lomedy alive" and was tunnel visioned on that goal. I don't think it really clicked for him that he can help with the food crisis, and I mean he wasnt really in a position to do so? Giving out stuff could be seen as helping the new players, and I mean him TECHNICALLY being in Cindercrest? yeaaaah that might not pan out so well.

I think that they don't want to be involved anymore. I think that Flame wants to focus on himself now and will step in if asked/needed to but his goal has been to become a combat grandmaster and he's on his track with that. I honestly have a VERY shaky idea on what happened to Lomedy as I kinda scroll watched the last two Flame eps (yes ikik bad Gemini)

I honestly have very shifting thoughts on this the more I ponder, but to sum it all up I'd say

I think that they are trying to focus on their own tracks again versus risking themselves again for something that might not innately matter to them. Yes. Lomedy lost his friends. Yes. Flame was used and almost manipulated basically and lost people along the way. But Lomedy wants to help in his OWN way and NOT in the way of Cindercrest. Flame wants to finally focus on his own goal of combat grandmaster and that is what they're doing.

Yungy is a very interesting character to me because he went a different route that many people take in his position. He has these little details that I absolutely love, and him and Wemmbu in Drain Bucket duo?

Some of the details that I LOVED are as follows:

When Wemmbu was gearing up to go on his solo mission, like his BIG one to kill that envoy, Yungy potted nightvision. Wemmbu FLINCHED like REACTED instantly and Yungy just soothed almost? saying "Just potting nightvision." in a tone that I almost wanna say was understanding. In the oneshot I'm writing, I wrote it in a manner of him just trying to make the most out of the situation for both of them.

Another detail came after Highwater.

When he was bumped from second in command, he didn't just go rage. he didn't try to unseat Wemmbu. He didn't try to sabotage, he just ACCEPTED it. He showed Wemmbu-- albeit grudgingly-- around the top layer of the Caves, the XP farm, even went on to BANTER with him later and be somewhat unsteady friends.

But back to the fact that he just accepted it? I think it comes from his. devoted faith? in Arachn1d? He so deeply trusts that but where he will even let him slide when he DROPS HIM INTO THE DAMN HUNGER GAMES!!!

I don't think Yungy supports the war in its entirely, it's just that he was given a position of power in the Caves, a place to belong, and that is where his loyalty comes from. My guy is honestly like Starscream from Transformers in how he's treated.

Despite this however, the Caves became his home to him. He wants what's best for it, he said it during Wemmbu's promotion (coronation?) that Wemmbu doesn't give a shit about the Caves basically. That once he has Eggchan, he will be out.

Now I want you to remember this detail about Eggchan and we'll circle back to it. Got it? Thanks!

Yungy has been with Arachn1d for a VERY long time. From before the brunt of the Civil War, maybe even a few more arc back. I'm writing this at the ungodly hour of 4am so I'm not taking laptop out to do a search via videos or wiki.

My point is that Yungy has true loyalty to the Caves. He believes in Arachn1d's decisions, because of that loyalty. If he believes that being good will land him in the good graces more, or just make him have an edge on others, or something else, I honestly don't know.

I need maybe one more Wemmbu video to piece it together and thats depending on if we get much Yungy in it (which I'm assuming so lol). The thing that hinges for me is Yungy actually being out of the loop with Arach's plans, or knew about everything from the start.

If he knew about everything, or was in the loop with the plans, that TOTALLY checks out. This is where this can go two ways.

TIME TO SWAP!!! SNAG THAT EGGCHAN THOUGHT AND THROW THE SPLIT PATHS UP THERE!!

This supports the whole Yungy out of the loop theory, and I think him basically yelling at Arach shows that. His reaction seemed genuine (sobs so did all the other betrayals but whatever we fly with trust issues here) and him having that outburst probably spurred on by emotion just solidifies it more.

If Yungy knew about the plans, he wouldn't have done the outburst. If Yungy knew, he would've kept quiet and let it play out. I think THEN he wasn't at all in the loop about Arachn1d's plans.

OK GRAB THE SPLIT PATH THING BACK

This can go the easy way or the hard way. And even in those there are more fractures.

(ok let's be so fr they're both hard ways I just really wanted to say that)

Yungy knows Arachn1d's next plans in their entirety and has less of a place in his head

Yungy knows some plans, but is still kept in the dark and has more faith placed in him

If Yungy does indeed know every plan then this is a cruel arc for Wemmbu indeed. I think that if this is the case, and Yungy is put into a position to choose? He will choose Arachn1d. He may deliberate and feel torn, but I think he would still choose the Caves, if not Arach. The Caves-- like I mentioned above-- have become his home.

I think theyve forged a friendship that is made of respect at the LEAST. They both act like teens stuck in a room to watch the younger kids. they act with a much more mature undertone than they present with.

Wemmbu wouldn't be fully surprised if Yungy didnt choose to defect, but it would still hit him a bit. If not for seeing Yungy in the whole "how stupid can he be" thing then it's going to be just a "tried to warn you bro"

on the little note I have on "less of a place in his head" and "him" being Arach. I think that if our king spooder here has told Yungy the entirety of the plans, he has a much more flat view on him. He sees him as another soldier, fighter, and pawn for him. He tells him the plans because he needs them done. not because he actually has Yungy up on a pedestal.

If Yungy doesn't know all the plans then I fear, for our Yungy has faith in him. some hope that Arachn1d has everything figured out and everything that was done was done for a reason and not because he, Yungy, has no worth. He isn't completely oblivious to the fact that he's placed underfoot, and while he might be on some copium, he has been becoming more aware of that fact.

This is a path I believe a bit more than the other, just because of how consistent and genuine it is. Throughout the entire Hunger Games ep, Yungy kept saying "it's just a mistake" and "he'll pull me out" and "Arachn1d just was.... yk" it's been Yungy HOPING on Arachn1d pulling him for and from stuff BECAUSE of a reason he STATES. If there was a secret plan he knows about, I don't think he'd say what he said.

And why would I put the "has more faith" in him here and not when he knows the plan?

Because Arachn1d is doing this hoping Yungy will stay loyal. He NEEDS Yungy to play the part of being someone who can slightly relate to Wemmbu, who feels that he is being used for a kingdom that doesn't even care about him.

Arach trust in Yungy's loyalty enough to use him in a role where he "doesn't give a shit" about him. That is what I mean by this. Arachn1d is very cunning, even if at face value he's a bit of a chungus. He knows how to control people when he wants, he is very careful with his actions and words in the big picture.

Not telling Yungy the plans and being a bit of a dick to him allows him to be more genuine towards Wemmbu. He knows that Egg is his true best friend, and letting Jaden and Yungy connect with him just to keep him going besides the obvious chain of Egg?

now ok my last point. and it's a theory.

Arachn1d gave Wemmbu a stasis chamber for HIMSELF. He gave Wemmbu something to hold over HIS head.

Now I wonder if Arach will try to set something up where it will make Wemmbu pull his stasis and save him while fucking everything else over.

Arachn1d-- like I mentioned before-- is so SO damn clever and/or cunning. There is no way he would give Wemmbu his stasis as a way to just make him do things. I think that it's a setup for a future escape. One that he will trick Wemmbu into pulling to save HIM.
