from uu!wemmbu's perspective, he's a strange man. he sent people to his house after the law was defeated. he sent a bounty assassin after his best friend. he straight up said to his face that having uu!egg means having uu!wemmbu. however, the strangest thing he did was apologizing to him for something uu!yungy put him in, even offering a promotion for them. then for him to give him his stasis should he feel that he has betrayed him? some even joked that he was love-bombing uu!wemmbu.

outside of his perspective, uu!arachnid is a patient man. not only that, he knows what he wants and therefore knows what to do to get it. he sets goals for his civilization to follow, but almost no one sees the greater scope of his plan. both friend and foe alike, no one can actually grasp what goes on in his head, or why he thinks the way he does. if there are those that keep their friends close and their enemies closer, this is a man who keeps everyone at bay — not so far that he can't see them, but not close enough to let them onto the shore.

an interesting thing to note is how uu!yungy defends him, especially when the civilization is concerned. many people already pointed out that he acted like how uu!wemmbu used to defend uu!princezam during the zam empire. then we see it with uu!dione being brought back to the narrative, as someone who can look him in the eye and say "you're not really sorry". then we see it when uu!jaden isn't allowed to the top floor of the civilization, separating uu!wemmbu from him and his other friends like uu!egg and uu!codmaster. similar to the past, but somehow serving a deeper impact to uu!wemmbu, especially now that he has changed.

many people point out that this in some way reflects his power arc, when he is on a quest to become the strongest. now, his strength shackles him to uu!arachnid, a weapon used once more and exploited by having the one thing that prevents uu!wemmbu from reaching his full potential. his weakness.

i would say that while he says his goal is to be the true king of the server, i think the goal he doesn't share with anyone lies with the one thing he wants: uu!wemmbu.

the whole concept of the lawdog au sparked a lot of interest when faced with the question: what if the character seen as a weapon is not only used as one, but is convinced that it was always meant to be their state of being? forget about who was deserving of what or the circumstances that could justify your actions, we've arrived at the point where you are what you are, either by your own hand or not. and if that is something to be used, then you don't have a say to change that.

uu!lettuce did not see that potential because he still believed in a moral basis for crimes and actions in a pseudo-anarchical server. uu!saparata did not want to be tethered to the man because his eyes were on the destruction that the oscs left behind similar to what goes on at spawn. neither truly got ahold of him in the end. he escaped law custody and even uu!flame only meant to ask where to get the cannons. the one who truly understood how to make use of someone was uu!arachnid — and every point moving forward, it was all to bring uu!wemmbu to a certain point.

all this to say, the reason why his manipulation feels different from uu!spoke's or uu!zam's or anyone else is because it's as if it was all for uu!wemmbu to arrive at this goal himself. to not only think himself a weapon but to rid himself of anything that denies this reality. if that were the case, then i'd argue that uu!arachnid's goal, in other words, is to make uu!wemmbu just like him.

a "true king of unstable" is a fascinating idea. what does that mean? is it someone who can become the moral basis and point out the enemy? is it someone who can take the suffering away from its source? is it someone who can protect those who are angry at those who are different from them? from the beginning, what is unstable? what is it that uu!arachnid sees that no one else does?

if from the start unstable was a server that didn't care for its people and was only interested in how destruction is cultivated and exploited, then it doesn't need a king. it needs a force of nature to carry out this destruction, if it truly is the will of the server.

it cannot be uu!arachnid, because he is a strong man whose weakness comes from a place of lack. a lack of orbitals, a lack of powerful political ties to cindercrest.

it has to be uu!wemmbu, because he is a weak man whose strength comes from a place of fulfillment. his friends who remind him of his own kindness and change, and how loyalty isn't weakness.

all to arrive at the conclusion that ties the both of their characters together: it's no use to be something other than what you are when the world is already this cruel to you. indulge in your rage, if it truly is greater than your love for it and all its people.
