I think most of Unstablian didn't realised how scary it is for Parrot to see his best friend turn into a villain because of him.

Like can you imagine THAT realisation for Parrot?

I think he never really realized it during paragon, because he just couldn't wrap his hand around the situation as a whole and kept on yapping about the old wifies etc. etc. We know he just blamed Wifies for becoming the villain of his own accord, and the whole director arc, it felt as if Parrot just wasn't talking the director's truth seriously at all

And then we ask the question, why didn't parrot keep Wifies' memory alive after paragon? "when people ask me who Wifies was" smh they don't. it's too easy not to mention him, but why?

Because parrot is ashamed. That's how it feels. Shame is what drives people to hide themselves, cover up a part of their life, their past

Because when people ask parrot who the director was, what is he gonna say? to cite prev, "my best friend who turned into a villain because of me"? Or, "my former best friend who went behind my back and kept me in a cage after siding with the mafia leader"? "The villain who built a whole prison and kidnapped ppl just for me alone, to persuade me, because I didn't listen to him when we were best friends"? "The person who only cared about me and killed people who sided with me, humiliated me for weeks"? "The friend I trusted a lot, but once I disagreed with him, he started exploiting and killing my other friends and made me kill him"? "The conflict I couldn't resolve with words so I had to accidentally sacrifice several of my friends and kill my best friend with my own hands and then pretend this never happened"

and the content that I’ve seen of parrot always have to have wifies in it because parrot is always associated with wifies and is never shown to be his own person meaning that parrot is nothing without wifies even though its been a year since paragon

of course parrot’s tired of course he’s depressed to an extent 😭 but if you exaggerate his trauma and turn him into a vulnerable crybaby, that is just infantilizing a grown man, people need to acknowledge that he’s more than his angst, he doesn’t let his sadness interfere (much) with his responsibilities because that is what a person like him would do
