Minnesota, where it all began this month, 98 years ago, much like this but instead of a pretty Aquamaid it was 19 year-old Ralph Samuelson who put his skis on top of his aquaplane and tried stepping off one ski at a time. Not entirely successful he discarded the aquaplane and a few days later got up on his skis...
