Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful life.

Water flowing, birds chirping,

full luscious trees;

what a wonderful sight.

Terrifying, terrifying, terrifying life.

Full of sadness. Full of strife.

Negativity is rampant;

how will kindness stay alive?

They're draining

the water supply

in order for some cheap idea

to come alive.

Sad, sad, sad times.

If you're wealthy enough,

there are no crimes.

The war on class: simplified.

My morals are important.

An alter built around ethics.

I'll stand on it, until I die.

I have hope for the world;

even when I don't for mankind.

This planet needs to stay safe

in order for the other animals to survive.

I have been very creative today.

Well, by the time I finish writing

and post this

it will be yesterday

and you will be reading this tomorrow.

Which means tomorrow is right now.

Weird to think about.

It is midnight now.

The night air feels amazing.

The night is lively.

People out and about

at the grocery store,

then the gas station.

I have felt alive today.

I didn't dash today,

in an effort to beat the heat.

I didn't just focus

on surviving.

I had food to eat.

I swam again.

My brother's dog jumped

into my parents pool.

He would wait until I went under water,

before he'd jump right on me.

Showered again.

Did laundry.

I feel like a person.

I just enjoyed the day.

I am not a burden on society.

The night air seems to

thicken once more,

as we reach twelve thirty.

I broke a sweat

while bringing in the groceries.

Ripley chirped happily

when she saw me.

She leaped onto the dresser

while I sat on the bed.

I saw her eyeing my exposed leg.

No.

I said, while shaking my head.

I cleared off a spot next to me

and pat it twice with my hand.

Jump here.

She opened her mouth

and closed it.

A silent meow.

I started to chat with my partner

and forgot all about

my wild girl,

until she jumped.

She landed on my bare leg,

extracting her claws

and digging them into my flesh.

Ow, fuck, dude why!?

She caught herself

as she nearly fell off.

I gently picked her up.

Held her up to face,

so I could look her in the eyes.

Baby, you have to watch your claws. They hurt. Why did you jump on me?

She stared at me with wide,

excitement filled eyes.

The tip of her tongue

sticking out of her mouth.

These scams are getting

out of hand.

Left tumblr and landed

straight in my texts.

A specialized offer

just for me.

For being such a devoted

user of tumbler.

(that is how they spelled it)

All I had to do,

to get twenty dollars off of something,

was to click on the totally

not suspicious link.

Like I was born yesterday.

Report and block.

It went from annoying and frustrating,

to concerning in the blink of an eye.

Looks like I have some work to do,

since they're texting my damn phone.

Get your hands off of my juicy juicy data.

What is the difference?

Why am I anxious?

Why am I bothered

by the attention?

Why does my skin burn?

Why does this pit sit in my stomach?

Why is this different?

I can be vulnerable and free

on tumblr.

I have no worries about being me.

I feel no judgement nor worry;

people will either like what I wrote,

or won't.

That's okay.

I'll get the same comment

six different times

by six 'different' accounts

that says some variation of

"I also something to tell you but it has to be in private" or "do you like recieting poetry or fictional works? Our company pays you!"

That's annoying, but expected.

I report, block, and move on.

I feel safe on here (tumblr).

It's my own weird little corner

of the Internet.

I think youtube intimidates me.

I'm new; still looking for the

tiger in the grass.

If I let my guard down,

they might attack.

I see how many eyes are on me.

It's a weird thing.

Not many compared to others,

but many for me.

It's weird to see myself

on the screen.

It's weird to allow myself

to be seen.

I cannot control

what people think.

I cannot control

their opinions of me.

That means there should be

no worries.

I am still being me,

just outside my comfort zone.

It's a new platform to use.

I am still figuring out

what to do.

I am happy to say:

I am fond of editing.

I am fond of vlogging.

I am glad I tried something new,

I just have to push myself

to continue.

I am scared.

That's all the more reason

to do it, right?

Run towards that fear.

That unknown.

Learn as you go.

Figure it out.

Don't worry about how people

may or may not be.

Focus on the fun you're having.

Focus on the creativity.

I like to swim,

I don't have to be afraid

about going too deep.

I passed a lemonade stand yesterday.

A makeshift stand

in the side of their yard.

They had various

bottled beverages displayed,

along with a container of lemonade.

Three of them were out there;

they were maybe around ten.

They stood by the side of the road

while yelling:

"Lemonade! Buy some lemonade!"

I stopped at the stop sign right

next to them.

I awaited my turn to go,

and ignored their calls.

I had maybe six dollars to get started

and wanted to spend it on caffeine.

I pressed my foot to the gas,

when the little boy next to my car

widened his stance and said:

"PLEASE!"

In a deep voice, tone desperate.

I stepped on the breaks

and met his eye.

How much are you charging?

I asked.

"A dollar!"

All three said in unison.

I told them I would come back

after I stopped by my house.

I did.

I have a soft spot in my heart for kids.

I used to be an art instructor;

I miss it sometimes.

I admire their drive.

I gave them four quarters

and asked how business was.

Little man told me they made

over one hundred dollars.

Impressive, if true.

At least they made a profit,

doordaah left me dry.

They had one again today.

If they continue,

I'll be out of money.

Wait...

can you be out of something

you don't have?

These last two days have been

over nintety degrees.

I attempted to dash yesterday.

My seats are carpeted

and the ac is busted.

I had all of the windows opened.

The air was hot and thick.

My hair stuck to my face instantly.

I booted up doordash.

The weather was miserable

but I still needed to make money.

I waited patiently.

Thirty minutes went by.

No offers came in.

My gas gage slowly declined.

An hour went by.

I continued to drive.

No offers came in.

An hour and a half went by.

No offers for I.

Gas gage on empty.

No money in my pockets;

none in my bank account.

I shut the car off and waited.

Two hours went by.

Cooked was I.

Panic crept into my chest.

Another text for help,

sent to mom and dad.

She instantly sent the money.

I thanked her profusely

and ended my dash.

No orders at all,

I finally got gas.

No prophet,

yet a lengthy dash.
