Super Duper!! Just attended #TodayAtAppleSG session special workshop “Art Lab: A World of Edible Creation with Chef Janice Wong” 😄She’s inspirational and has amazing works of edible art desserts!! So proud of her representing Singapore on the world stage in presenting beautiful and delicious imaginative works! She handed out her laser printed flowers and also chocolate art truffles with tint of lemongrass flavour! 😍 Awesome! She’s also very clever to develop chocolate colourful crayons! Hopefully she will be Singapore’s very own “Janice Wong-ka” maybe even a movie like “Jamaica and her chocolate factory”! Her whimsical edible art for sure will translate well on the big screen!! 👍 PS: Janice later welcomed us to her shop at Paragon and treated us mooncakes and ice creams! Her sea salt caramel is just beautifully sweet and tasty flavours! She has clever small chocolate bean shaped chocolates of unusual flavour like “green mango” and “smoked” !! Cool 😎 Also great job to the Apple Creative Pros Larson, Alina and others who helped and helped conduct the session! I got to use the procreate app on iPad Pro to design my own Creative design with a photo shot of the Color art that she and participant did on site! I turned 41 yesterday. What a year it has been. It’s funny how at the beginning of every year you plan things but fate keeps showing you different things. The universe know better where to put you.. 🇯🇵 I planned on expanding and teaching workshops all over the world and I was able to teach in Tokyo and Osaka early this year. Things turned differently after that. A great opportunity opened up which allowed me to teach and still reach more people around the world. I taught my first online class in July and releasing a brand new spanking course SOON!. 🍎 This year, I was able to share my story and how I managed to run a business and still raise 3 kids through podcasts (thank you @drunkonlettering @dpcreates @designrecharge ) and publicly @apple 🥂 When I was young I thought turning 40 would be scary and terrible. I was wrong. 41 ain’t so bad! Life has taught me so many lessons and though at times it may throw me so curveballs, it also shows me the way to handle things positively.. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Nothing is ever easy but our perspective can change the way we look at life differently. The hardest thing I’ve done so far was to smile in public last Saturday and pretend like my mom was not being rushed to the hospital while I was on stage. How does one do that? You simply do. Because you made a commitment.. 🎨 I chose not to complain nor make excuses. I find ways to turn things around no matter how difficult it is. That’s how I managed to speak despite being in pain. That’s how I leveraged my 2-4hr work window into getting higher paying clients. That’s how I learned that a client doesn’t just want lettering work. They want YOUR lettering work. It’s about you and how you can positively impact the world through your art.
